Isa
It'll be the supposed American bidders if I had to guess. Probably fit Lerner's idea of more solid, 'custodian' owners.

Villan4Life
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/11660653/Randy-Lerner-moves-closer-to-150m-Aston-Villa-sale.html Randy Lerner is moving closer towards a £150million sale of Aston Villa after it emerged a mystery bidder has been granted exclusivity. Villa could have new owners within the next six weeks, ending Lerner’s nine-year reign as chairman, with an interested party now approaching the final stages of due diligence. Three consortiums have been in negotiations since the start of the year but one is now in pole position and pressing ahead with plans to complete a takeover by July. It is unclear at this stage whether the period of exclusivity has been granted to Paul Smith, the former Chelsea executive, who has been working on a deal for the past 12 months. Smith is known is be facing competition from parties in China and America and sources close to Villa admit the identity of the frontrunner is a closely guarded secret. They will also have signed non-disclosure agreements to keep their names out of the public eye. However, this latest development is certainly significant and suggests a takeover of the Midlands club could be imminent. Telegraph Sport also understands that Lerner's farmhouse in Hurley, a village near Villa's Bodymoor Heath training base, has been sold privately in the last few weeks. OneNightInRotterdam
Likely Sherwood will stay by the looks if things. Have to see how it pans out in the next few weeks. One thing is clear, nobody has a clue which of the 3 parties is the "frontrunner" so it's likely Nursery is guessing as usual, but he could be right. Then again, he said that Clark could go to WBA this summer......

Villan4Life
Kendrick means 6weeks not 6months in article here http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/gossip-aston-villa-could-reportedly-9414421 Aston Villa could be under new ownership by the start of next season after a front-runner reportedly moved closer to buying out Randy Lerner. According to the Daily Telegraph, a mystery bidder has been granted exclusivity in the process to take over from Lerner. They claim the unnamed potential buyer is into the final stages of due diligence and a buyout could go through within six months. Three interested parties, believed to include former Chelsea director Paul Smith, are understood to have been whittled down to one leading bid. The identity of the front-runner remains a mystery with a non-disclosure agreement in place. Edited June 8, 2015 by Villan4Life
El-Reacho
Hopefully the exclusivity bit is because they have convinced Lerner they are the 'correct custodians' for us.

grobs
Anyone know how this will affect the transfer window situation? With our need to bring in new faces is it possible Lerner will just not invest in transfers until the sale is complete which is frieghtening or can the potential buyer invest as an outside source until it is completed?
