The Tim Sherwood Thread

Krulak is not backing Sherwood, he's just stated that Lerner doesn't like constant change, instead he's actually heaped pressure on him by saying we have good players and should be doing better. Also he didn't deny the two games either, just stated it's pure speculation. This guy has two games to show some kind of fight and if not he's gone.

Tim Sherwood not given two-game Aston Villa ultimatum

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has not been given two games to save his job, according to Sky sources.

Reports had suggested that a recent meeting in the United States of top Aston Villa officials, including owner Randy Lerner, had resulted in an ultimatum being issued to Sherwood.

However, it is understood that the gathering had been scheduled for weeks and was not arranged to discuss the manager's future.

Sherwood was invited to attend but chose not to, as Villa prepare to travel to London this weekend to face Chelsea.

While Sherwood's future was not discussed at the meeting, Villa's poor recent results were.

One of the biggest issues for Villa's owner is thought to be recruitment, with questions being asked of the players brought in since the end of last season.

Villa are currently 18th the Premier League with just four points from nine games, with their only victory coming at Bournemouth on the opening day of the season.

It was always, unlikely that he was given an ultimatum, because that would just put too much unnecessary pressure on the team when there's enough as it is, and we're trying to win games. But it doesn't mean to say that he won't be sacked if we lose to Chelsea or Swansea.

The time Tim stays here is most likely determined by the time it takes for the club to find and negotiate with his successor.

Be it 1 week or 2 months.

Thou I can't hide the fear that the club just will do nothing
