The_Lions_Roar
Mark Warburton would be a fantastic choice. This guy is going to be a big player in the managers circle in next few years i think Sounds familiar.. We cant let one bad experience prevent us from doing what we want to do moving forward but i think they would look at someone experienced. i think they will go for sherwood Is sherwood experienced? He had half a season at Spurs and that's it!
AshVilla
Someone said that Pat Murphy said Fox was in the states at the mo - surely there to get the manager sorted, his no.1 priority. Could it be Jurgen afterall? Maybe he's in talks with Bruce Arena America's answer to Jose Mourinho

sidcowans21
Got to say, im more confident in the new appointment with Tom Fox here now. If Faulkner was still here, i would be really worried.

The_Lions_Roar
Thing is Sherwood will know we are desparate and hold out for the biggest deal and want jobs for all his mates....also with an absentee owner....do we need a manager who will be hankering to get back to London everyday.... Those are my concerns - but I think he might keep us up in the short term... Well we need back room staff as well.

He had half a season at Spurs and that's it! Warburton has had a total of 13 months as head coach in professional football. Much as I love the guy (I'm more regularly at Brentford than I am Villa these days) that's not nearly enough to be ready for us. I'm all for taking a risk but that's about as big a risk as I can imagine. Edited February 11, 2015 by choffer

03butpau
I'd go for Paco Jemez from Rayo Vallecano. Done an unbelievable job there with absolutely no money. Plays some lovely football too,

El-Reacho
Really hope it's not a left field name like Magath or Pepe Mel were. This time I'd agree that we need someone with PL experience. Need a motivator.... Our last 6 permanent managers have had top flight experience. I know - after we sacked Houllier and Mcleish I'd hoped Lerner would take a punt on someone from abroad but he seems to have a 'must have PL experience' filter in place when recruiting managers. This time round - given current predicament - I'd agree with that approach.

villa89
It will be some job to come in and keep us up. Lerner making the decision too, God knows how badly he will get it wrong, again.

ROTTERDAM1982
Talked up a lot on Talksport yday, that Paco Jemez. The reporter said that Ancelloti was so impressed when Real Madrid played them, that he asked to go and watch him do training with his players, because he couldn't believe how much he got out of them.
