Heartbreaking. What a player. He could do it all. I’m still not sure which was his strongest foot. Two wands for feet. Love you Sid you legend.

Was old enough and fortunate enough to see him play many times. A true Villa legend and a very underrated player outside of the Villa circle.

Should have received far more England caps.

Horrible to hear - at 65
I hope he finds a level of calmness and peace that many with this awful condition don't.

A true legend.

A really nice guy, was lucky enough to be a part of a stadium tour when I was younger where he and Tony Morley were showing us around the stadium. I managed to get a selfie with him but couldn't get a proper photo because he spent the whole time trying to make me laugh for the photo 🤣

Such sad sad news.....I was not only fortunate to see him play on a regs during his heyday but also very very fortunate to spend several hours with him and a few other players last year at a private gathering. What a wonderful individual, along with the others of course.

Arguably the best set piece specialist with the ability to put the ball from anywhere on a sixpence, one of our greatest wingers and without doubt a Villa legend for eternity. He'll never be alone because he has some of the greatest teammates anyone could wish for and a fanbase that adore him. Best wishes our Sid. 💜 💙

Be great if at our next home game there’s a round of applause for a true bonafide legend in the 10th minute to recognise and honour his contributions over the years…

I remember a few years back, watching a Villa game in a boozer 10 minutes away with the lads, at half time this lovely enigmatic man come and sat with us, I had to do a double take, it was only Sid. He was there to do a Q&A on the evening. He was class, a really nice bloke, and just one of the lads if I'm being honest.

I am slightly too young to remember him playing but his legacy has always been there.

Was also told a story about how he approached one of our current players to have a chat who told him in no uncertain terms to f*** off. The player probably didn't realise who he was being approached by but that individual could never hold a torch to the bloke he dismissed. Sid hadn't forgotten that moment so it obviously still bothered him.

Can you share who that was? Maybe best for PM!
