Delphinho123
While I don't think we have new owners, It would make a lot of sense to keep quiet until after the window so we don't get held to ransom. It's not completely unbelievable.
Delphinho123
Oh and FWIW, I was told an American consortium from day 1. Then it all went quiet. Probably never materialised but you never know.
Richard
There will be two chairs at the press conference, and only because Bent will be there to welcome the signings and they need two for his arse
Wes
They just interviewed Lambert on Five Live. Was quizzed about Cleverley. He wouldn't be drawn in to comment on the United player specifically. He did say the club were looking at a few players but if they didn't happen, they didn't happen. A very non-specific set of answers.

A very non-specific set of answers. A few players would hopefully point to at least 2 signings. Would imagine the SSN reporter for the midlands will be at VP tomorrow as WBA have pretty much signed everyone already. EDIT - I mean Bodymoor as opposed to VP. Richard
I'd be a little disappointed and surprised if we didnt get two in (either perm or loan or both) between now and the end of the window to be honest

Capitalise on the positivity after the first 3 games by bringing in Cleverley plus an exciting winger.

As much as the "we go again" stuff was a bit embarrassing last season I think Lambert's approach to the press is more or less spot on. They will spin what he says however they like anyway, may as well give them as little as possible to work with.

penguin
I think we're done now, really can't see us splashing £8M on Cleverly. Still secretly hoping we will get Salah on loan though, he's wasted on the bench at Chelsea.
