I heard on the radio praise being given to Brentford’s new stadium which is called ‘Brentford community stadium’. It made me think how boring the names are of the new stadiums that have been built in the last few years. Is that the most imaginative name they could come up with?

Easily beaten by the uber imaginatively named Tottenham Hotspur Stadium...

Yeah, I wish they'd put more thought in before naming ours Villa Park...... NOT!

I have a petrol mower, I feel quite manly using it.

And me. Mine is called a Harrier so I am also a kind of Jet Fighter pilot at the same time 😂😂

One of my neighbours (who doesn’t reveal their exact address) likes to post us letters.

Wait... what?
I need to hear more about this. But it sounds too interesting for this thread

She’s a Jehovah’s Witness and a couple of times a year we get hand written letters with a little paper leaflet delivered by the postman.

She posts them to all the houses in this local area, must cost a fair few quid in stamps (but less annoying than them knocking the door I guess).

I came very close to being religious when I was younger.

I actually heard god calling me to come forth but I came fifth.

Nice of you to let the other 4 blokes finish first

Does anybody else ever remove the speaker grilles/covers on their speakers? And try to determine if it makes them sound better?

Yes, but it's a non-starter if one has children or pets

That is going a bit far Rob. A broken voice box would have been sufficient.

Things which are usually brown, when they are not brown, tend to be white.

Bears, bread, eggs, chocolate, horses, people, chickens.

Bears are all black if they’re not brown. Even the white bears, are black with hollow, transparent fur that scatters light like fibre optics.

sorry, wrong thread.
