macandally
If we can scramble a draw home v Southampton, we can against Hull surely?Despite the defensive screw ups, we did actually play a lot better football yesterday - all be it with almost no cutting edge. we out-passed Swansea and they had every kind of luck a team can get in that match. Not suggesting we didn't deserve to lose and we don't deserve to be where we are but I do believe we are due some luck, look at Sunderland - getting a ridiculous red card decision that effectively ended that match! Agree with this, we were the better side first half but went in 2-1 down. Got to cut out the silly mistakes that cost us and lets be honest, we need a huge slice of luck which we havent had since the Chelsea game! ben1505
I don't think that Sunderland are definitely out of it yet either... They will probably lose away to Man U next weekend then have two home games that they can easily draw.... They play 3 games in 8 days which will be tough on their limited squad... Bakers passing out of defence has been **** all season. I have lost count of the times he put us on the back foot. Baker is out of his depth and a liability. Nabby
Fulhams recent points are against us and Norwich they are very beatable and as bad as us in defence.

Yeah they've picked up points against very bad sides who ship a lot of goals. Now they have Stoke who don't concede at home and Palace, who don't concede much either. JoeParker91
We just have to wait till next week, our fate should be decided either way. If we do survive, (I think we will), then this season could be good for the club, with the fans demanding a change in owner/manager.

ChrisH
A Chelsea win in against Liverpool will still mean they are in the title race, having to play both Norwich and Cardiff, would be nice if they were still had something to play for in those games, but would also mean Man city are back in it, and well that could mean a battering of our goal difference
Supervillan78
IF we got relegated then Benteke and Vlaar would probably want to go and a good deal more would certainly have to go.

Man City battering our goal difference would have no effect at all unless Fulham get 4 points but we would have to have a 25 goal swing... We are bad... But not 25-0 bad.... kurtsimonw
Chelsea will surely get results against Norwich and Cardiff now. Even a draw with Cardiff would be enough for us to finish above them.

TJVilla
With the Hull match being our last of the season at home, (and say we don't get anything from the game) surely the club won't be stupid enough to send the players on a lap of 'honour' at the end of the match, will they? If they do, surely that'll just finish them off as I can't see anyone being happy that we'd be needing a point at least from away games at City and Spurs for us to stay up. Also, do you think Lambert will take part, or would it be better for him to run away down the tunnel to keep away from the fans? They would have to put out their under 12's squad for us to have a hope.

I expect the players to climb a specially constructed staircase to receive the "we just about avoided relegation (part 4)" trophy from the Lord Mayor of Birmingham

If they don't the fans will just use it as another excuse to criticise and say they don't appreciate the fans, it's a lack of class, etc. A Chelsea win in against Liverpool will still mean they are in the title race, having to play both Norwich and Cardiff, would be nice if they were still had something to play for in those games, but would also mean Man city are back in it, and well that could mean a battering of our goal difference You think it will make one iota of difference whether Man City are or are not in the title race by the time they play us?
