It’s just been mostly pissy weather all year, hasn’t it? Not a lot of snow and/or ice which is fine, but just miserable.

I think February was wettest month ever, and March was very wet but not quite record breaking.

April has pretty much been non-stop raining so far.

Yep, we’re handing back the allotment to the council. We’ve got a couple of weeks to wade up there and collect our tools and shed porn.

In 4 years the fees have gone up from £24 pa to £120, and for the last 6 months it has been utterly unusable. It’s just permanently waterlogged, covered in puddles. At £24 something like that wouldn’t matter and if a crop didn’t work it was only ever really an excuse for some outdoor air and some exercise. With the price hikes we were relying on selling a crop of diamond encrusted asparagus to Waitrose. The only thing we could plant this year would be rice.

That's ridiculous. It's like they're purposely trying to stop allotments - I know of 6 that have recently been taken back by the councils for new homes. Increase the price, people don't renew and the land goes back to them.

We've hardly been down to ours this year so we've got nowt planted yet, our fees are £50.00 for the year so no increase as of yet.

Please spare a thought for the BBC weather service. Clearly they aren’t allowed out of the building, and the building doesn’t have windows.

this morning’s ‘current’ weather synopsis: blowy with some showers

It’s been howling wind and lashing rain since 5:30am

Yep, same here. They didn’t seem to get the “biblical weather” memo.

It's like there's more cogs in the Atlantic. The jet stream can push our weather into all sorts different places before it gets here.

Here's some Arctic cold, here's some rain with desert sand mixed in, here's some record downpours, here's a heatwave.

A tornado tore through a suburb of Stoke early. Caused utter improvements.

Done with this weather. It's ridiculous.

I got out 2 weekends ago, jet washed the patio, cut the lawns, cleaned garden furniture etc... and it's rained every day since.

We've now got Thunderstorm warnings in the South West for tonight.

It feels like Winter has lasted 7 months, just no end to this dreary, miserable crap.

I have cut grass three times in April, twice in the hail.
