  1. Totally agree. I’ve watched every game so far this season and we’ve played some lovely football. Been unlucky with a couple of goals against and we’ve been unfortunate not to score a couple more. Rotten mindsets is just nonsense.
  2. Having a Galaxy Ripple right now and it’s a thing of beauty.
  3. Having a lack of coaches during the week or on the side today really is no excuse for that second half display. The players need to take some responsibility. They are professional enough to put a real shift in and at least five or six didn’t do that second half. As soon as the first went in we had lost the game. Any limited belief just drained from us but that second half was unacceptable. Newcastle were very very good but also looked fitter, sharper and well drilled. They were first to everything, especially in the second half. One to forget and move on. Emery needs to get into the players heads as well as coaching them. Mentally we’re shot and weak.
  4. Certainly questions need to be asked here? Is he going to work in harmony with Emery?
  5. Just good recruitment and a proper coach getting a tune out of the existing squad. Who’d of thought that would work? We now appear to have obtained a decent coach, but what about our future recruitment?
  6. Running around a lot doesn’t quite cut it. I can’t see Emery keeping him around beyond the summer.
  7. He looked like a little boy lost when he came on. Clean slate starting next week but if Emery can’t get anything from him, then he needs to go in January or next summer. His name alone will probably guarantee him a move somewhere I would have thought?
  8. I think we all were happy with the line up and the Dendoncker/Luiz double pivot was the protection we were crying out for. Players need to take some responsibility here. We were defeated before we started the second half. Attitude was all wrong and Newcastle wanted it so much more than us. I’m not putting any blame on Danks for that.
  9. Reminds me a little of Kalinic, in that he’s very cumbersome reacting to rebound’s etc. Generally slow all round.
  10. We lack pace all over the pitch. Needs sorting and not just a wide right player.
  11. We lack genuine pace throughout the team and it needs sorting. Are we also fit enough? Newcastle were first to everything and never stopped chasing us down.
  12. Fair play to him, kept going. Felt like he was firefighting alone out there.
  13. Soft underbelly, which in truth has been around for a while.
  14. Disgraceful, especially in the second half. Has the nerve to have a bad touch or pass to nobody, then fling his arms about like everyone should be on his wavelength. Technically he’s atrocious.
  15. As the first half wore on we were tiring and lacking belief, and then the penalty. Second half we came out already defeated. Very disappointing. Newcastle were fitter and were in complete control that second half. Pace, power all over the pitch. Two or three need to be ashamed of themselves, especially in that second half. Lots for Emery to sort out and fast.
  16. This beautiful creature is a cross fox, also known as a fire fox. Curious enough they make up about 25% of red fox variations in North America. Stunning.
  17. Karen’s Diner experience? These venues are popping up in a few locations now with one being in Birmingham. I haven’t experienced one myself but keep asking myself “what’s the point?”. Supposedly, a diner that gives you good food but awful service. Prepare to be abused???? Sister-in-law went the other evening said it was funny but probably wouldn’t go again. Was made to wear a hat saying the words “this is my cum face”. Just sounds ridiculous but I am a boring moody git I suppose. I just wouldn’t pay for this nonsense.
  18. What a seven days it’s been since the Fulham debacle. Fair play to Danks last weekend though, playing players in natural positions and in a formation that we’ve all been crying out for. Before Emery blows all our minds…………….. 4-2-3-1 again and same team please. It’s going to be a tough ask but I think we can get something if we play at our very best. Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Young Dendoncker Luiz Watkins Buendia Bailey Ings Subs: Olsen, Chambers, Digne, Bednarek, Nakamba, McGinn, Ramsey, Coutinho, Archer Going to say 2-2 UTV
  19. Nope, he signed an improved contact in March this year (5 years).
  20. Difficult one this. For too long, especially under Smith we had a very predictable line up and formation. When doing this, does it give the opposition an advantage? Does it make us one dimensional and limited? Changing a winning side is always going to be controversial but it’s exciting picking a side that you think is best suited to beating the opposition. Seems like he picks a side that is very fluid anyway and will change during games. It’s like a game of chess for some of these guys.
  21. Pretty sure if Purslow wasn’t decent at his job then NSWE would have him out. They don’t seem to be the sort of owners that mess around.
  22. Emery has four games to assess what he has here then get into a mini preseason. That World Cup period will be a crucial time to get his ideas across. Anything is possible still this season.
  23. I actually forgot that Martinez and Chambers have worked with Emery and his coaches already. I wonder what they think now of this appointment and what they’ll be telling the rest of the squad this week?
  24. Chukwueze and Danjuma are the obvious links and be interesting if Emery fancies bringing either of them over? Could be very expensive though and he’d be wary of another Pepe flop scenario I’m sure.
