Both excellent designs. It feels strange seeing the lion facing the other way though. Is that just me? I really like the blue lion in the gas lamp but the round badge will no doubt win. 1874 is a lovely touch and a shame it couldn’t be added to option 1 as well.

Really looking forward to the presser this afternoon and hearing his initial thoughts since being around the club/players.

He’s marmite isn’t he. I love to watch his trickery and skills but he’s frustrating in equal measure. I do believe there is a place for him in our squad at present and the Premier League itself but he’s not a top eight team player and that’s where we’re hopefully heading sooner rather than later.

Seeing the training pics/videos, it’s like watching a conductor of an orchestra. So refreshing to see a tracksuit coach, actually coaching/mentoring etc.

I really hope the players buy in to his ideas and philosophy. For so long players are the ones with all the power but I hope there’s a slight shift here? Emery needs time of course but most of all the support of everyone. Sunday can’t come quick enough.

I think his English is very decent indeed. It’s very lazy of some fans, media and even players to beat him about a language barrier (Arsenal days) but in truth we’ve seen many coaches come to this country who hardly speak a word of English (Bielsa springs to mind) and do well. Its really exciting that we’ve got him and to now see what he can do over the course of this season and beyond. Already seems very likeable also.
