  1. I mentioned on Friday evening that Deano could be thin ice and I still think he is. This doesn’t mean the risk of imminent sack but I’m sure there will be concerns in the boardroom and our next 3/4 games are critical. We’re a quarter of the season in and quite honestly barring some cameos and short spells, we’ve been poor. I want Dean to succeed and turn this around but I worry his stubbornness or limitations may ultimately cost him. I’m not going to go over formations and players because I think we all know what we want to see. Starting next Sunday, we need to see a reaction and that starts with the Head Coach. A top half finish has to be the minimum aim still, as anything less will be considered a failure. I am concerned and personally, barring a good few months ahead, I think we could see a change in Head Coach. I hate saying it but that’s where I am. C’mon Dean, I have everything crossed for you.
  2. Form is temporary, good or bad. He’s had a difficult few weeks but he was pretty solid throughout all last season. Returning to a back four will help I’m sure.
  3. Still 3 Premier League teams without a win after 9 games, pretty incredible really.
  4. Radio WM commented last night that once Ramsey went on, Sanson went a bit mad in the dugout as they could see him gesticulating and flapping his arms. Cannot say or confirm that a bottle was thrown etc though. Don’t blame him being disgruntled but there is a time and place to show your unhappiness, and that is in private with Smith.
  5. We’ve now conceded 8 goals in 3 games, whilst playing this turgid 5-3-2 formation. Stop the rot now by reverting to 4-3-3 and leave Ings or Watkins on the bench. Right now it would be Watkins no question. Did anyone see Sanson having a hissy fit on the bench because he wasn’t brought on? I wonder if all is not well in the camp? Perhaps some harsh words need to be said. Our captain for one needs to go back to basics and just defend. Pleased for JJ and good to see Bailey get minutes.
  6. If he goes back to his tried and tested 4-3-3 and has the balls to keep Ings or Watkins on the bench, then we’ll recover from this.
  7. I don’t think any outfield player takes any credit tonight.
  8. We’re a very disjointed team right now and just can’t keep possession at all. This game is gone but we need to go to 433 quickly and get back to some basics.
  9. Needs a couple of changes now, a third after 60 minutes and salvage what we can, even if it’s a bit of pride.
  10. Some overreacting as usual but Deano is on thin ice, no question.
  11. Arsenal well worthy of a 2-0 lead. Could have been 4 or 5. We have been a horrific. Smith really is on thin ice persisting with this formation. We look uncomfortable and it needs to change, starting now.
  12. It’s a quality french name
  13. Is it Gérard Depardieu?? Always wanted to say that in a match thread!
  14. Nice little write up on Bailey on the BBC Football website. Clearly, he’s a player that the media and other teams are very aware of. Hopefully, we’ll start to see the very best of him over the next few weeks and months.
  15. I wonder if the lure of massive wages could tempt this guy to Newcastle? Hopefully, Newcastle will go after Premier League experience first, but you never know. Would like to think with agent Martinez and Buendia, they’ll give Deano the lowdown of how good this guy is though.
  16. Based on the squad news today, I’d still like us to go with the following team: Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Targett Luiz McGinn Sanson Buendia Ings El Ghazi Subs: Steer, Tuanzebe, Hause, Young, Ramsey, Carney, Traore, Bailey, Watkins Bring Traore, Bailey and Watkins on in the second half to truly rub salt in the Arsenal wounds!
  17. This could be where they flex their muscle and provide a show of intent. Conte.
  18. He can have his moment mate, I still believe we’ll finish the season higher than them.
  19. I’ve been wound up since Saturday by my father in law, who is a Dog Head. This is one of his better ones that did make me laugh.
  20. Yep signed. Details at the top of this page.
  21. Are we seeing some of the “Terry” affect so far this season? With him gone, who is now doing the defensive coaching and analysing the mistakes? Just a thought.
