  1. I hope Ashley Preece asks him about starting Archer this weekend
  2. Even if we drew or won on Sunday, I really can’t see him turning this overall mess around. He’s already shown that he can obtain the odd result/performance from somewhere, probably by fluke, but we’ll never have that consistency under him. That is the alarming fact in all this. In twelve months there is simply no improvement and quite honestly, we’ve probably regressed somewhat. Confidence in the squad is shot, age of the squad has gone up, salaries have gone up and with a very bloated backroom team, expensive to remove. I really can’t fathom why there is a delay in getting rid of Gerrard but I suppose it’s very complicated and going to be very costly to the club.
  3. Agree, I also think UTV is decent. Luke, Justin and Ryan are just regular guys that care about the club and what’s happening.

    The NSWE Board

I agree mate. I was just having a bit of fun with the earlier post Hopefully, they want to tell Gerrard in person that he’s no longer required.

    The NSWE Board

Why, do they have concerns over Carla Ward as well?
  6. I cannot understand why the board are delaying the inevitable? It really is time now. Even if we get a decent result against Chelsea, the overall picture wont change. The football is terrible, predictable and boring. The comment of waiting for moments of magic is truly embarrassing. We have no tactical nouse to enable us to break teams down. Critchley, Mcallister, Culshaw, Danks, MacPhee, are also just as culpable. It’s a ****show. We are NOT going to progress, we are NOT going to improve sufficiently. The players look lost, disinterested and devoid of confidence. I honestly think they don’t want Gerrard leading them now. We’re regressing and sleepwalking into another relegation battle. What are we waiting for? I’m frustrated now and we need to act. This is not knee jerk but twelve months of total stagnation. What a waste.
  7. He’s broken us hasn’t he? All the good work done before by Smith is gone. However, are we beyond repair? I would like to think not. I live in hope that a decision to remove Gerrard is made sooner rather than later. C’mon NSWE, you’re our only hope.
  8. Absolutely critical appointment whoever comes next. Players like Martinez, Kamara won’t hang around in the summer if we have another relegation threatened season. Poch would be someone that could ignite the place and make everyone believe again.
  9. Gerrard has to take full responsibility for the current situation but some of the coaching staff need to take a long hard look at themselves. Does Culshaw and Danks even exist?
  10. I really wanted Gerrard when he was first hinted at coming, as I thought he would take us to the next level. Although young, I honestly thought also that he’d be capable of boxing with the big boys. He would bring much needed energy and most of all, a name that everybody knew around the world. However, he’s been nothing short of a disaster. The squad look totally devoid of confidence and ideas. Last night we were scared and playing not to lose, rather than gunning for a win. The coaching set up is an absolute farce to go with this. Does Danks even exist? This cannot go on much longer. The “Continuous Improvement” line is looking more laughable day by day and we’re sleepwalking into a relegation fight again. It really is poor and we’re a boring watch it’s sad to say. “It’s on me” is wearing thin now and when you start blaming players, you’re slowly heading for the door. Fed up fan today. UTV
  11. No, I always want us win any game and I think we will tonight. However, I do want Gerrard to go.
  12. Yep, very similar. We were silent throughout the game and my dad knew I was scared. Never been back either and never will. I would never take my young lad to that place.
  13. Genuinely, the Sty. I was 12 years of age and it was 1987 when I went with my dad to that horrid place. Unwisely we went without a ticket and couldn’t get in the away end. We therefore had to go in their end and even though we won 2-1 (brace from Garry Thompson), I absolutely hated every minute. It was scary. The ground, surrounding area and their supporters. Truly awful back then and probably not much better now.
  14. That five year contract he signed in March this year seems a very shrewd move by the club. With Kamara and the Ramsey brothers, some very young and exciting talent in and around our midfield for years to come hopefully.
  15. Three points and nothing less will do. They are pretty woeful. Hopefully Cash will be back and if we lose Bailey at least we have Buendia, who is overdue a start. Watkins, Ings or Archer is really the only other consideration. Ings for me here. Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Young Luiz McGinn Ramsey Buendia Coutinho Ings Subs: Olsen, Bogarde, Bednarek, Chambers, Sanson, Dendoncker, Bailey, Watkins, Archer. No excuses now and please no more “it’s on me”. O-3 to us and no more injuries please! UTV
  16. In all fairness to them, Tranmere did play extremely negative and were timewasting throughout the game. This clearly irritated the Leeds coaching team and players.
  17. Probably a good time to highlight this again. What appears to be an incredibly bloated set up? 32 names on this list. I’m still puzzled as to what Aaron Danks is offering us? I wonder if some or all Premier League clubs have a similar number of people working for them?
  18. Has any player in our squad improved since Gerrard has been here? I honestly cant think of one?
  19. Positive - Clean sheet Application and attitude was decent, but boy we’re an awful watch. Just absolutely clueless going forward. We’re basically hoping a hoof forward creates a chance or praying for a moment of magic. Project Gerrard is badly letting us down and now holding us back. We need to act now before it’s too late.
  20. Job done - continuous improvement Watkins MOTM
  21. What a list! Apologies, if I’ve missed them from your list, but off the top of my head - Wolf Creek, A Quiet Place, A Lonely Place To Die, Freaks, Don’t Look Now, The Fog, An American Werewolf in London, Vacancy, Eden Lake, Misery, Joy Ride/Roadkill. Jeepers Creepers.
  22. If we can keep Daly, Dali and Hanson fit for most or all of the season, we could do really well. The improvement in quality offensively now is there for all to see. From the two league games I’ve seen, we are a really enjoyable watch. Confidence is clearly building with them as well now. We seem to have some real belief this season.
