Things that piss you off that shouldn't

YouTube's recent activities.

I'm a sad bastard who collects expensive plastic tat. I quite like watching videos of other sad bastards who similarly collect expensive plastic tat.

Unfortunately, earlier in the year Google got a large fine because they were found to have been collecting details of children through YouTube. As a response to this, they have decided that anything that might appeal to kids is going to be switched to a kid friendly basis which basically kills monetisation for creators, doesn't send upload notifications, blocks end title card etc etc, and if creators choose not to rate the video as kid friendly before the algorithm gets to them and the US government decides it's actually kids content, they personally would liable for 42k fine.

As a result, the adult collector figure channels are basically being culled. Which is **** annoying.

Google is obviously happy with this as they also openly want to get rid of a lot of their smaller content producers (they apparently recently updated their policies to allow them to just delete Google accounts of 'unviable' channels), but it's a shitty washing of hands by Google for their own **** up.

Ridiculously some of the creators are looking at PornHub for a new place to host their content.

Kings Heath is a shit hole. I will never understand how property here commands such high value. It's full of chavs, degenerates, druggies, thieves and asbo's. Its a properly horrible area and next year I'm moving. Moseley is going the same way and that's another area where I'll never understand the glowing reputation.

I get the impression both areas have gone down the pan a lot the last few years?

I think maybe it's because I've spent so long here. I've only lived over this way on and off for 5 years or so as an adult but my nan lived in kings heath all her life and I spent a lot of time here then, my dad grew up here and its always kind of been my 'second home' since I was little away from Rednal/Rubery/Longbridge area.

Kings Heath just feels aggressive, like everyone hates each other. It's a melting pot of cultures, age groups and poor/better off people all in close quarters. Moseley is the same to a degree but more chilled out but full of tramps, pissheads, beggars.

Like I said I think it's just me spending too much time here, I've worked in Moseley for 10 years now so I know what goes on underneath the fashionable 'boho quaint' veneer.

Peloton bikes. Ooooo, so it’s an exercise bike with a TV stuck on the front? And you get a word removed in Lycra shouting motivational slogans at you on screen. And it’s just £1,999? Sounds like a **** bargain aside from it’s not and I might as well just buy a normal exercise bike and find a free workout video on Youtube.

Don’t forget the £40 a month subscription. It’s an expensive gym membership except without the gym.

You’ve got to have serious issues about exercising in public which to be fair it seems over a million active subscribers currently do.

I'm quite shocked by this. I left Brum in 1972, but I spent a great deal of my childhood and teens in and around Moseley and Kings Heath (went to school in Moseley). Both areas were very pleasant leafy suburbs back then.

Nothing wrong exercising at home away from other people, id hate to exercise in a gym in front of everyone but why would you pay all that money to do it at home? Just get a treadmill in the spare room and your done.

Cost justification, I've got a rower which was expensive but in reality works out as 7 months at the gym for me and the missus so I could justify it

£2k upfront alone is 20 months at a good gym let alone the £40 a month

You'd have to do that every day and still even then your training isn't mixed, it would be boring as ****

I tried that.

About £800 for a rowing machine, which was considerably more than an equivalent coat rack (which is what it turned in to). Gathered dust for about 3 years before I sold it

Gumtree is your friend.

The amount of rowing machines and running machines on there, good as new but only used for 2 weeks. We have a bike and a running machine, new would have been well over a grand, actual cost, just under £100.

Doesn’t matter if you get bored at those prices.

I’ve pretty much exhausted PornHub so new wanking material is always welcomed.

Yeah, they can get to ****.

Luckily I don't go to establishments anymore that have these toilet trolls.

Neither do I, I just had the misfortune to pick up a fare of two of them going home. £14 odd fare. Paid in slummy. It reminded me how much I hate the whole concept
