mottaloo
Moving on from my rant at youngsters and how they pose for photos (girls do the sulky pout, boys do the james dean scowl....what's wrong with a fcking smile !?)......it seems to be the fashion for some of the instagram folk i follow (in a desperate attempt to keep up with my niece, nephew and other such younger family members), they post up little 5 or 10 second video clips that they rock back and forth in a rewind/fast forward style - again...why ??? And it can be of the most inane subject too, like a moving pic of their dinner or the latest pair of trainers they spunked £150 on. Or am i being unreasonable

Paddywhack
For some reason for about the past week I've been waking up with my back in pain but this morning was particularly bad. It hurt to move at all and I was walking around like the hunchback of Notre Dame. I was going to have a shower to ease it, call in sick and go back to bed but I thought better of it. I've got stuff to do at work and it felt a a bit after a shower. On my way in I stepped on a loose slab shooting dirty, sandy water all up both legs and stained my rather light jeans making it look like I've had a dirty accident. Should have stayed in bed. I was looking at the reasons A&D aquatics had closed down in Oldbury.. we were going to take my kid to see the fishes and it had a decent cafe.. plus we were going to homebase anyway, so whilst we were over there.. Any, that doesn't matter. So I looked on Facebook because anything I googled related to Facebook reviews of it. I noticed a few of the bad reviews kept having 1 comment from some young lad who just said "But u kept going back (despite you rating it badly)". So I clicked on his profile.. as you do.. and as you mentioned, he's trying to look like a "G", but with the snapchat filter of a dog on his face. Then I noticed he had like 90-odd comments and about 300 likes for it.. so.. as you do... () I had a look. Almost every comment was just 2 or 3 emoji's (all containing that "100" one), most of them with the "arm tensing" one and loads of hearts. Almost every. single. person who left a comment or whatever had almost the same profile pictures (lads trying to be "hard" or the girls with duck-faces (usually with a mate or whatever).. It's this "I'm someone culture". Everything you want to be is encapsulated in that one picture.. everything you want the world to see, and they chose to copy their role models (we all did) - It's just strange that this internet thing makes it so literally anybody can look at it in a snap shot. I felt quite sorry (probably the wrong word) for them because.. it must be pretty hard work giving off this glorious, "I'm someone" image all the time. I preferred just riding my bike/quad skates/kicking a football around or playing kerby when I was 12-29 I mean.. someone has to be the next generations binman, don't they? Or are we headed for a world of money for nothing glamour generation? I bet someone could make an absolute killing offering to "tart up" kids' facebook profile pictures.

Phumfeinz
I bought a meal deal or at least I thought I did but when I sat down to eat it the crisps had disappeared so my day is now ruined.

dAVe80
Waking up with the urge to listen to Castles Made of Sand, by Hendrix, particularly the guitar solo, finding the CD, getting in my car, skipping to the track, listening to the song, only for the CD to start jumping as it gets to the solo. Thankfully I've got the song on the Greatest Hits CD, and on my copy of Axis: Bold As Love.

On a vaguely related note, the CD player in my car insists on inserting a second of silence between tracks that were designed to run together, which is very annoying. I feel it ought to be be a user-adjustable feature (particularly as it seems to be an identical player to the one in my previous car, which didn't do it), but I'm damned if I can find anything in the menu settings.

Yes, I have this problem too. You wouldn't get this problem if they'd installed vinyl players in cars!
