Things that piss you off that shouldn't

People at work who think "I missed your email because I have about 6,000 unread emails in my inbox" is a valid excuse for not doing something they've been asked to do.

You could try just not watching them?

I don't watch TV normally, but the missus was busy marking books and I wanted to watch a rerun of Two And A Half Men. Charlie Sheen is awesome.

They were called bodywarmers, when I was a lad. That's what my Grandad used to call them, and he's one of the greatest men I ever knew, so that's good enough for me.

I do agree with '91 though, people who wear them these days are mostly bellends.

I think this is very common in our place of work isn't it. If I had an employee who tried to pull that I'd be asking them why they can't manage their workload. Reading emails is a key part of working and if people can't stay on top of them then they need a talking too.

Exactly.

And there are plenty of people who will more or less ignore emails.

You have to phone them to follow up on things because if you don't then it won't get done.

Pisses me off. Email does tend to get overused in general I think. But it's unacceptable to ignore them or to be so unorganised that you can't keep track of them.

I have no idea why anyone with an ipod dock or CD player in the car would ever listen to the radio apart from live sports.

Not keen on sifting through 50% talking and 30% adverts with the hope that they might play a good song in the other 20%.

Not everyone wants to listen to music.

In the mornings I don't really have any desire to listen to music. That's why I actually quite liked Chris Moyles. Because he hardly ever played music, which suited me just fine.

Dunno why, just never in music mood in the mornings. Much rather listen to a podcast or talk radio.

So when these "DJ's" are chatting incessantly and having shite phone in competitions they actually think we want to hear it?

I understand specialised pod casts but it's very rare anyone on main stream radio is going to have anything interesting to say.

I often turn round to check if my team leader is at her desk, so I can check my phone or come on VT. Three times this week I've caught eye contact with her as I've turned round and she keeps thinking I have something to say.

I've pretty much just done this face everytime >>  ^_^

Obviously that's your opinion.

I'd say the fact that Radio 1 and 2's breakfast shows (a lot of which is "talk") average about 16 million listeners between them (and I'm fairly sure those figures don't include anyone under 18) suggests plenty of people want to hear it.

16 million that's like 1 in 4 people, surely that can't be accurate?

As shit as radio 1 is ive yet to find anything that beats the Zane Lowe show.

He plays such a diverse range of music that are all excellent. From hip hop to dance to indie to rock. Everything I love hearing, and his chat is minimal. Radio at its best.

But yeah there is a real lack of quality radio stations amd its too expensive to pay for a DAB radio for a car as well.

Those are the figures quoted.

Think it's 6.75 million for Grimshaw and 9.something million for Evans.

Dunno how they're worked out to be fair, but safe to say it's a lot of people.

Edit: It's an average weekly audience. Whatever that means
