mjmooney Posted February 21, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) I wish I had passports filled with stamps, it would be a nice souvenir. I'd love to have been to all those countries. I don't actually want to go to them (everyone knows Abroad Is Bloody), but I'd love to have been to them. Good in that pretty much the entire world is now accessible , bad in that other people want to go there but for me travel is a hobby and it's one that I use to combine my interest in History .. 2 for the price of 1 .. I'm dying to get to Iraq ( though i think the US army have pilfered everything worth seeing ) and Leptis Magna but world events kinda put those on hold for a while

mjmooney Posted February 21, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted February 21, 2014 Yeah the history aspect is one of the things I do like about travel. Only did that cheap package tour to Turkey the other week because of the trips to Aphrodisias and Ephesus, etc. Amazing places.
