I think it may be the massive influx of poorly-educated 10 year olds onto the board during school holidays. Age is no excuse, though. My 8 year old knows contractions and possessives. When I see someone doing it over and over again I die a little inside and imagine them as a stupid in-bred goat. Which they may not be. But they're putting that image there. I wasn't particularly well educated but I still took it upon myself to know how to write in my national language.
