Isa
he wasn't "that" bad. But i still think people forget how often he either lost his man, or was beaten (too easily) on the wing by a player. True but at least he looked like he was improving. It's why I haven't completely given up hope with him although his mental fragility is my biggest concern.
VillaChris
Bennett will get his chance when Toni gets injured/suspended. That's if he's not injured himself at that point of course.
Isa
I suspect that Bennett will start against Spurs so that will be a good chance for him to stake a claim.
AndyBM
to be fair, we all see the tactics we play, but it doesnt make sense to use gabby and andi to help out the full backs, theyre wing forwards not wingers, id say the whole midfield should be supporting the defence seeing as theyre not very attacking, fabs supporting luna and sylla or kea supporting matty
Kwan
Tbh, I think they were lazy versus Newcastle. They tracked back well versus arsenal and Chelsea but didn't do it as much versus Newcastle

Folski
Christ he's looked awful today! Positioning sense is nowhere to be seen He's way too close to the centre back, needs to be wider.

He's not in line with the back 4 either, keeps running 10 yards forward to run 30 back

Isa
I didn't think Bennett's performance at Norwich last season could be worsened, it just was. Norwich had free reign of the left-hand side, especially in the second half.
PaulC
Looks very good going forward but does need to improve defensively

Dr_Pangloss
It's one thing to get destroyed by Ben-Afra but another to get ripped up by Snodgrass. Luna is certainly decent technically but his defending often leaves a lot to be desired. That said he has come from a very different league so will inevitably need time to get up to speed. Isa
If Bennett plays well against Spurs then he wins his place back in my book.
The_Steve
I don't recall Luna having all that much protection from the winger. He's an attacking full-back and certainly more effective at getting forward.
Villarocker
Why does he continue to show the winger inside instead of down the line? Isn't that basic full back play? I like him more than Bennett but he is very fragile defensively.
PaulC
Its early days for him. I think he's definitely better than Bennett and offers a lot going forward.

I recall Weimann saving his ass on occasion by tracking back today when Luna decided he was either a centre back of winger.

R.Bear
He's excellent going forward. Good close control, excellent technique and gets into good positions however at the back he is all over the place at times. When he is on his man he does well but his positioning is suspect. I like him though and he is getting better. Immeasurably superior to Bennett.
