chappy
**** hell poor guy, hope he gets his health back to 100% this year. Would love to see him back strong again next year but most important that he recovers mentally and can be happy again after what must have been a horrible year for him. If that is here excellent and if not then so be it, some things are more important than football.
Agbonla-score
No way, we all know he never played because Lambert is a word removed? amirite? I never read that. I only ever read that it was agreed plan by helenius and Lambert that he wouldn't play for a year. Quite clearly that's rubbish. Hopefully he gets himself better and returns for another chance. This board was full of it ' He should be fit by now, why is Holt starting and not Helenius, why did Lambert sign him and not play him, Lambert is clueless' Then we had ' I know from a mate from a mate from a mate that the guys attitude stinks, that's why he isn't in the frame. Just goes to show we have no idea what is going on behind the scenes sometimes. Fair point there Rodders
alreadyexists Posted September 26, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) It highlights the truly awful spectre of mental ill health that looms over many people; its indiscriminate to physical health, social standing, and wealth. I hope he's through the worst of it, and that he can move forward from a crappy period of his life. heid3ster
Whoa. Photo on the OS from the loan watch article: He's lost a lot of weight, and he was pretty skinny to begin with. Keep fighting, Nicklas.

LockStockVilla
For someone not known for his aerial prowess, that header was superb.
smetrov
Good stuff - glad he's healthy and scoring goals. Don't ever see him coming back to us - and if his time here caused to suffer ill health thats fair enough in my book.
rodders0223
He's scored quite a few already hasn't he? A fair few penalties iirc. He has been on the bench recently, looking at the teams results they are not doing very well in the league. Europa looks to be his best chance to impress, hopefully they get out the group and he gets as many games as possible, bags some more goals and gets his confidence back
Popular Post AaB-Aalborg
He looked better yesterday, and actually should have been noted down for two goals, as he scored a header already in 1st half. Unfortunately the ref. saw something, no one else saw and gave Rio Ave a freekick instead. However the ref. made it up by giving their striker a yellow card instead of a penalty kick in the last minutes of the game So 1-1 on that account. Anyway. Helenius looked good and his workrate, dribbling and passing is starting to look decent - however yet some way from normal. I am sure the goals will come soon, as rodders0223 note, he has primarily been scoring on penalties so far. It is due to the lack of form, that he has been a bit on the bench and not been pressured too much - he will be regular within a few games, if he keeps improving. Hopefully we will improve a bit in the league, as Helenius gets back in form, and a handful of injured players we have had, gets back to full speed. From our championship team, we lost 3 national team players and our top créateur/assistmaker to transfer and long injuries this summer, which is partly to blame for the bad league position and EL-collapses. It is sometimes expensive to be poor, in the case of AaB. I will keep you updated. And congrats with the fine league position in the PL. Keep it up

Popular Post AaB-Aalborg
Can the resident Aalborg expert please provide an update on Nicklas' performance against Brondby earlier this evening? Thanks Sorry, I have only seen this now. Well, Nicklas is still improving, getting full 90 minutes, looking good in most of them. Should have had a goal or two, the biggest chance a header for 2-2 in the last minutes, but the Brondby-keeper made a pretty nice save (unfortunately....). It would be nice for us if he started scoring - but the most important thing must be that he keeps looking better. We, Aalborg, still have injury (or bad form after injuries) issues which is not speeding up the process. For instance only 1 of 4 midfielders from our last game started the match, and he started in another position. On Friday we play a small team in the league, with a so far successful, defensive counter attack approach and then follows an Europa League away game against Dynamo Kiev in the midweek, where we will probably be forced back in defence. An interesting week ahead, with two completely different matches for Helenius.. I hope he has benefitted from the international break - will let you know

Popular Post villan_007
Why don't the club ever actually tell us these things? Because it's a private personal issue. It's only now that he has started to come out the other end he feels comfortable enough to talk about it. Well done to the club for protecting him through a tough time I say.
