Jonoridge91
Can anyone explain to me why this is treated like an old thread of a past player but the Gary Gardner one isn't?
sexbelowsound
Yep, same question. I know its unlikely that he'll return but has he actually agreed permanent deal elsewhere?
Junxs
I cant read through 88 pages, but with this being in the 'other football' section can someone just clarify is his contract has been terminated or if he's left permanently?
rodders0223
By all accounts he has been absolutely woeful in Denmark. A few penalties and barely anything from open play. He won't be back here, if you aren't doing it in a league like that then no chance. I imagine he will go back to Aab on a free and a nice portion of his contract paid up. Id imagine he was on a pittance here compared to others and he only cost £1million, so its hardly writing off a huge loss if he doesn't return when you look at what Cardiff paid for Cornelius, who was another very highly rated Denmark striker and what it cost them
rodders0223
No I don't think it would be a huge right off. It was a punt that didn't work out, one I was quite excited by, so just a real shame. It just hasn't worked out.

He is on loan so I don't understand why this has been moved to 'other football' when Gary Gardner's hasn't for example. I know he has been interviewed saying he doesn't expect to go back to Villa but until he officially leaves the thread shouldn't be moved IMO. Aalborg BK
By all accounts he has been absolutely woeful in Denmark. A few penalties and barely anything from open play. Helenius have been a huge disappointment since returning to Aalborg. At the time being 20 rounds of the danish league have been played, Helenius have scored 1 goal in open play in these games (4 goals with penalties). That's just awful, although like Villa Aalborg ain't creating many chances. Since resuming the league after the winter break Helenius have spend most time on the bench. Personally I don't hope Helenius continues in Aalborg.

Popular Post AaB-Aalborg
Todays media reports, that Villa do not wish Helenius to return, so his agent is trying to find out, if Villa will release him or what happens next. Despite having scored a couple of goals for AaB, also important ones, Helenius is far from his level when he left AaB back in 2013. He still lacks confidence and the speed on movements he used to have. I think he has scored 12 goals for us, which is not bad, but the feeling is, that he could easily have scored more. He is not even a regular starter at the moment. I don't know if he will stay in AaB, that depends on him being released and no better options are available. He really needs a shot of confidence, to get back on his feet. At his old level, i would have liked him to take the chance once more under Sherwood, but i doubt he would be anywhere near the team in his current form, so it is probably for the best, if Villa and Helenius agrees to split. I think this is it from me in here I have enjoyed keeping you updated and hope it has been useful. Good luck in the future, sorry that you never got to enjoy an in-form Helenius at Villa Park.

AndyBM
this club has wasted so much money on players that it hasn't given a chance to, helenius being one of these players, i would of liked to of seen him around the first team, its baffling as to why he was outcasted almost immediately after signing dissapointing treatment from the club, i too hope to see him flourish in his career Edited July 4, 2015 by AndyBM
