Which is not to say that if we fall short we've failed, but only the top 7 of the Premier League are actually impressive sides (and it remains to be seen how Everton perform as well). Behind that it's much of a muchness. We should aim to be the best of that muchness. If we end up 12th it'll hardly be a disaster, as long as performances are still improving, but I'm hoping for top half.
