TrentVilla Posted July 31, 2012 Moderator Share Posted July 31, 2012 What else is he going to say though? I mean that is such an obvious statement you wouldn't expect him to say anything else. I don't think anything can be read into that.
Valhalla
can`t see him selling villa anytime soon. Main reason being he wouldn`t make any money from it. As long as he makes more by keeping the club than selling it he will keep it. Having said that i do think randy has a fondness for the club. Hopefully if he sells browns he can focus fully on us. Well it depends on who is buying. Possibly some multi billionaire Qatari businessmen?

Swerbs
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Sale of Browns is now official and complete. Randy Lerner sold them to Jimmy Haslam for in excess of $1 billion.

OhioVilla
Just so we are clear, it's 700 million now, 300 million later. Deal cannot be fully completed until the NFL approves of the sale.
AVFCforever1991
Yeah that will do Go on Lerner Get the Cheque-book out, we need 3 more Signings.
Czechlad
I really believe Lerner wants to keep Villa for now. Maybe 5-10 years he might sell if the price is right, but right now he wants to own a club.
villan-scott Posted August 2, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 2, 2012 Hopefully with Randy's extra money now he will back Lambert even more so, and makes you wonder whether Lambert was aware of the sale and why he was persuaded to come. Big_John_10
I would hope there's still a bit of money left for Lambert to spend. Not expecting silly money but it would be nice to add a couple more quality players to go straight into the first
Amo69
I have a feeling Lambert knew about this and there will be money for him to spend. Not ridiculous amounts like MON spent but enough to get his own team in place over the next 2/3 years.

CI
Problem is though you've got the likes of Ireland in the best part of 70k a week and KEA on 15k a week which will ultimately lead to dressing room disharmony I'd bet

How do you mean? That they've had enough time and it has not been done? Or with recent transactions it has been now? Or something else?

Mantis
I think the issue always was that the wage bill did not reflect the quality of the squad. You can't afford to have bench-warmers on 40-50k a week.
