As if more evidence were needed that Trump is not a well man, he also can't drink from a glass properly. He drinks like a toddler.

He's covering something, or bizarrely weird.

I think he is an android created by the KGB after the cold war. Maybe Obama should ask to see his birth certificate ;)

US will 'take names of those who vote to reject Jerusalem recognition'

UN members warned Donald Trump will take issue personally if countries back draft resolution rejecting US decision

The US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, has warned UN members she will be “taking names” of countries that vote to reject Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In a letter seen by the Guardian, Haley told countries – including European delegations – that she will report back to the US president with the names of those who support a draft resolution rejecting the US move at the UN general assembly on Thursday, adding that Trump took the issue personally.

Haley writes: “As you consider your vote, I encourage you to know the president and the US take this vote personally.

“The president will be watching this vote carefully and has requested I report back on those who voted against us,” she continued.

Haley followed the letter by tweeting: “At the UN we’re always asked to do more & give more. So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR embassy, we don’t expect those we’ve helped to target us. On Thurs there’ll be a vote criticizing our choice. The US will be taking names.”

At the UN we're always asked to do more & give more. So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR embassy, we don't expect those we've helped to target us. On Thurs there'll be a vote criticizing our choice. The US will be taking names.

The Trump administration’s heavy-handed approach to foreign policy – often in breach of both international consensus and diplomatic niceties – has alienated even close allies.

The 193-member UN general assembly – which has no vetoes – will hold an emergency session on Thursday to vote on the proposed measure that the US vetoed at the security council earlier this week.

There was fury in Washington over Monday’s vote, in which the US was isolated in a 14-1 vote requesting Trump withdraw his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

...

He is such a pathetic clearing in the woods child.

The beauty of it is they will find it easier to write a list of people who are with them.  The UN security Council voted 14-1 against the US with the 1 being the US voting for itself.  They will do well to clear 10 votes in the general assembly so chances are they are getting writers cramp noting 170 odd names.  What the GOP (a misnomer if there has ever been one) are doing right now domestically and on the world stage is is Lex Luthor evil villain standards of callous disregard  for people in general.

Stock market ticking at it's highest ever, unemployment very low, consumer confidence sky high.

Let's ram through a partisan tax bill packed with concessions for special interest groups (golf course owners & private jet owners, anyone, anyone?) It only adds nearly 2 trillion to the deficit and we have the blind hope that we will be able to pay for it later.*

*(Oh no we'll just gut social security and Medicare but don't tell anyone that yet.)

It's pure robbery. Cowardice from moderates like Collins and total greed for guys like, well the rest of them. Most people will get a break next April, but in 8 years it will have trickled down to nothing, and then we'll all start paying for the rich. As usual, most Americans aren't paying attention, so they get away with it, just like they knew they could.

Hopefully in 2018 the Dems crush the GOP and repeal the bill. It's along wait though, and the bill goes into effect tomorrow.

I couldn't make it past 'you've restored American credibility on the world stage'.

That's either the best satire I've ever seen, or Mike Pence is being drugged.

True believers in manifest destiny exist, and they are not few in number.

The UN resolution not to recognise Jerusalem went 128 in favour (and against Trump), 9 against and with 35 abstaining.

It'll be interesting to see which countries did what - in the past, there have often been only three in favour of the US position - The US, Israel and one of those place in the South Pacific that is essentially American.

I do hope we haven't embarrassed the UK with a cowardly abstention.
