Yup, another way to see this is that it simply removes the mask of "freedom and democracy" that the USA has been peddling and reveals the nation for what it is.

Explicit support of Israel is just a change from what was previously implicit. Remember, the USA was pretty much the last nation to go against SA, back in the apartheid days.

Any thought that morals or ethics matter in the USA are naive when compared with the need to profit. Hence, tax reform over all else. The really deep point is that the average american benefits only mildly and is a pretty good guy/gal. Know your enemy.

Along with Israel who gladly traded guns for diamonds with the Apartheid regime.

So who asked Santa for an Intifada for Christmas?

Netanyahu?

Violence kicks off, roll in the tanks, 'take back' a bit more land, build your well earned houses on it, repeat. Bulldoze and white phosphorus everything in the way.

In fairness, Donald is right, this should advance the peace process no end.

It'll be much more peaceful once all the Palestinians are dead.

Incidentally, somewhere in the world right now is a US diplomat who is very happy where is he, desperately hoping not to be transferred to the Embassy in Jerusalem with the giant target on it.

Said diplomat has little to worry about. They won't be moving the embassy anytime soon. The US has been kicking the Jerusalem can down the road for years, they will keep doing that, its just that Trump has stupidly decided the grass the can gets kicked into is too long, and while he kicks it he's going to flick the Vs at the entire Muslim world.

I'm convinced he's got some form of the early stages of dementia.

That or he's drugged up to high heaven to keep him going. He's hardly the picture of health and despite his immense capacity to do **** all besides use Twitter and play golf, just the running around to various events takes its toll, they'll be pumping him full of stuff.

There's been several suggestions that Trump actually has some form of brain damage (on top of being an arse). This is one example of people picking up on his speech as an indication of something going wrong.

Perhaps his dentures were working loose.

Pretty interesting/scary read from Trump-land in one of the Swedish papers today.

It's about people living on an island that is sinking due to climate change, but since they are religious Trump people they don't believe in those kind of things but instead want's Trump to build a wall against the ocean for them...

(Google translated)

Quote

They do not leave their descending island - they hope for God and Trump

Do you want to listen instead?
The sound begins where you stopped reading12:41

TANGIER. In the Atlantic Ocean outside of Washington DC, 450 people live on Tangier Island. They can become climate refugees when their island slowly disappears into the ocean.

The residents are some of President Donald Trump's most devoted followers.

They all want one thing:

- Build a wall for us against the water.

Lisa Crockett takes up a small clear blue glass bite from the sand. It's a bottleneck.

- I know what it is. They had flour in this. Those who lived here must have baked cakes, she says, holding the bargain against the cool sun.

"I wonder what it was for cookies," she says seriously in her voice and eyes.

Lisa Crockett has reason to be moved. It may have been her own family eaten by the cakes, just a few generations ago. Fifty meters away on the beach, she makes another find in the beachfront: a tombstone.

- "Nelly, was born in March" (...) "now you will not suffer anything more". Then I do not see what it says, she murmurs and brushes off the sand. Not even the marble on the tombstones has stood against the constant abrasion of the waves. On another tombstone, one can read the year as it was restored: 1912.

Regularly, Lisa goes here looking for bargains. Win a fan of her own story. And maybe a prelude to her own future?

Lisa Crockett regularly searches for bargains on the beach. In the water bridge, the red brick is seen from the houses that used to be here.

For each month that goes and for each new tidal, the beach drops a little deeper into the bay and reveals new trails of a bygone era. Today there are rows of red bricks in the water bridge that the houses were built with a century ago. Then this dry land was.

It's almost a Stephen King / H.P Lovecraft vibe to the community. Only Dagon is replaced by Trump and God
