Sportswash! - Let’s oil stare at Manchester City!

IMO they have helped to elevate the standard of PL football to the highest I’ve seen in my lifetime.

If the best team in the league is this good then the others (or at the least the ones with aspirations) just have to find a way to compete.

Liverpool in the past few seasons are an example now we will see if Arsenal can rise to the challenge or maybe the Geordies.

The Premier League benefits massively by having Citeh set the standard.

But other teams seem to follow the rules (which already favour the rich teams). Man City don't, hence the investigation. If it's true they've been cooking the books, every trophy they have cheated to win needs removing, and they need a lengthy ban from the premier league.

It's so obvious this needs to happen and they need to be made an example of.

Look at Toney, relatively miniscule in comparison to the 'sportswashing', fraud and cheating Man. City are involved in.

Your not getting it.

Its boring because its not competitive well thats whatvi meant anyway =]

They never won it. So it's fairly competitive up to this point. (CL, not PL).

It did take quite a while for the Toney thing to get resolved with an announcement out of the blue.  Let's hope if they're found guilty the same will happen at City and the FA have the balls to do what needs to be done.

Although for some weird reason I don't hate City that much  I can't explain why I hate Liverpool and Utd so much more than them.  Probably to do with the fans of the other two.

What? That's terribly worded by the Times. Seems they've joined the dumbed down Internet generation.

Are Man City seriously suggesting that they haven't breached any rules that applied at the time they were funding Mancini off the books?

Deluded surely... but no doubt they'll have far more intelligent people working on their case than the PL could even dream of affording and will probably worm their way out of it.

Whatever decision is reached in the courts, and whatever farcical judgement is decided upon,  I'll never recognise any of their achievements. They are funded by their owning state, not their sponsors, and they paid their employees off the books.

Rules don't apply to the Arab countries, they are used to getting away with anything they want, an obviously think it applies here.

I doubt in reality the FA or Prem will want the fallout, City are worth too much to them.

If you're rich you get the VIP treatment.

When you're defence is similar to Trumps its not a good look

That's what good lawyers do. Make it loooong and twisted.

At the end of the process, the judges will not even know what's going on.

If Declan Rice is £100 million, Rodri must be £180 million plus, Rice is no where near him.

I agree. Rodri is very underrated.

Don't get me wrong I actually think Rice is very good too. But Rodri is excellent

Does anyone know the reason why they boo the Champions league anthem?

I'm sure I've seen an explanation before but i cant remember it.....

It was certainly strange to see them booing at the start of a game that clearly means so much to them.
