Risso
It's the very dominant influence on the single Everything Now. Which I love but it is just a huge Dancing Queen pastiche.

chrisp65
As part of today's marathon session, I've been playing this repeatedly for a couple of days and loving it... ...and have finally realised there's 7 tracks per side, but only 5 listed. Apparently they chucked a few extra tracks on the vinyl at some point but didn't bother updating the artwork! To compliment Mr Gibbs chirpy happy instrumentals I've also been playing... ...for its absolutely brutal speaker bursting bass. Also, just to mix it up, a totally crass 'best of' covering New Order and Joy Division... CD there, just to show I'm up with all the new tech. Also! Just wrapped up for the evening with a bit of... ...the flimsy thin 1970's cheapo vinyl's still good, but sadly the cover is beginning to suffer and coming unstuck. Not absolutely sure why I've got a tv?

Seat68
Found this compilation I did for my daughter (Phil), must be from around 2001ish, its not massively upbeat. I am aware my handwriting was awful, it still is.
NurembergVillan Posted August 17, 2017 Moderator Share Posted August 17, 2017 Listening to Christine and the Queens, Chaleur Humaine. First listen is positive. It's quite a soothing album, alternating between French and English, and weaving together pop beats with violins and sweet vocals. I like it. It's been around in the UK for a year or so, but was originally released in France in 2014. Apologies if it's already been covered in this thread. It's fine to post up repeats, it's what your listening to at the time. You look at what Ruge and Rob are posting, it's all basically the same just with different combinations of names on the covers.
