hogso Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 A must to anyone into 80s synth pop. Not that it's an 80s album, it was released this year. It is awfully trendy though, hence why it has been ripped into by certain people who came into the band via their members and their previous bands/projects - American Nightmare, Give Up the Ghost, Some Girls, Prurient, Mika Miko, Xiu Xiu...fans of those are in for a potentially nasty surprise. I actually quite like it though :bonk:
GarethRDR Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Just got through this, brings a smile to my face everytime without fail. One of numerous occasions where I've bought an album not knowing what I'd be listening to (at the time I was compelled by the name alone), upon the first casual listen I remember thinking "what the **** have I bought?" and left it on the side for about a month. When I finally got round to picking it up again and giving it a proper go, I loved it. The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth
Xann Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 A jazztastic OST - . No I have a few left and yes I love finding bargains at the charridee shop Well Cinders, you CAN come to the Ball! Slide on your glass slippers and stick on something you were prepared to shell out for.
Xann Posted June 12, 2011 Author Posted June 12, 2011 All Star cast and a producer at the top of his game, the CD sounds great.
Ingram85 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Sigur Ros - Takk... probably their most accessible album but its a work of art and should be heralded as one of the best albums ever put onto disc 1

dAVe80 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Second Attention by Wooden Wand & The Sky High Band. Had this album a while now, and always enjoy giving it a spin. Had the pleasure of seeing Wooden Wand (aka James Jackson Toth) in York earlier in the year. Most excellent. Portrait In The Clouds

I don't think I've heard that album. Will have to seek it out.
