what does the ranking of the French league have to do with him not being a good player. Samuel Eto'o plays in Russia would you not take him for Villa, FFS our best player last season isnt exactly setting the mighty MLS alight.

You claimed his 10 years in French football means he's a good player.

Eto'o spent most of his career playing for top teams in Italy and Spain.

A ridiculous comparison.

wasnt really a comparison. just people arguing that just cause he played in french league means he is rubbish player could turn other screw and say Emile Heskey and Lee Cattermole play Premier League most their career doesnt mean they would walk into Sochaux or St.Etienne side

Brahmi coming to villa? Makoun to rennes?

Oh I hope so.. If there is one silver lining we could cobble together after this is getting a player out of it who actually wants to play football.

All we can do his hold his registration - and hope someone buys this midfield maestro - what an appalling attitude.

nope, all we can do is hold his registration and fine him 2 weeks wages for every week he misses. by the time he cops on he'll probably owe us what's left on his contract

that way his contract costs us nothing, and he gets the kick up the arsehole he deserves

surely if we are dealing with Rennes over a loan for the Cameroonian pleb then it would be a perfect opportunity to lay down a cheeky 1m bid for the unhappy Brahimi while we are at it....

assuming we were even interested in the first place that is

Oh well hopefully this Rennes deal is true and its another sizeable wage off the books...

Quicker we can shift the deadwood the better. Roll on Cafu and Warnock.

I finally got round to watching the full replay of the Forest match yesterday. Just when you think Warnock cant get any worse, he surprises you every time. No own goals this time but must have given it away or miss controlled 60-70% of time he had it.

Pity. I'd like to see him in a team who plays proper football. Won't lose any sleep over this, though. Some will say he was a bad mistake, some will say we let him slip through our fingers. We will probably never know. In 10 years he might be one of the ones you forget in a quiz where you are to name all Villas african players through the history.
