  1. 5ft10 I think. Mcleish said it in the press that he's grown a lot more this year than he was at the start of the year.
  2. a-k

    Keinan Davis

Makes the bench today. 17 year old who we signed on professional terms in December. Anyone know anything about him?!
  3. Surely needs his own thread now as being reported everywhere and on yellow bar on Sunday. I would assume the 10m we are getting from Westwood and ayew deals are what is funding this deal?
  4. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9809733/Aston-Villa-eyeing-30million-swoop-Bayer-Leverkusen-star-Leon-Bailey.html
  5. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/12611741/arsenal-martinez-transfer-aston-villa-brentford-raya/ "ASTON VILLA have launched a £20million bid for Arsenal keeper Emiliano Martinez -" Would love to see this one come to fruition - would arsenal sell and could we afford his wages.
  6. Just signed from Brugge apparently. €25m. Out of nowhere.
  7. After going to the Villa U23 vs Reading U23 last night, 16 year old Kaine Kesler reminded me in style of play of a young Ashley Cole but on the right side! He has good potential!!! He was in my view Villa u23's best player on the pitch last night vs Reading and linked up really well with Tyreik Wright a number of times. Kesler bombed forward whenever he could always trying to make things happen and looks to have a very good attitude too. Definitely will be following how he does! Has anyone else seen him play? thoughts
  8. It’s been reported a couple of times now and Ornstein seems to think we’ll fight it out with Arsenal for his signature. As such, I thought it deserved its own thread. Discuss..
  9. Apparently, this guy is the holy grail of transfers..
  10. Probably needs its own thread now on his way to Villa for a medical according to sky Hopefully first of a few today
  11. Mail + French sites reporting we’re in for this chap. I know nothing about him. He’s a RW and we need one of those I suppose...
  12. Another highly rated youth prospect through the door, who’s played for the Bournemouth first team. A substantial fee involved. I absolutely love what the owners are creating at Villa. Welcome Ajani.
  13. Tom13

    Louie Barry

The kid who left WBA for Barca in the summer. Apparently very close to signing him.
  14. Aston Villa is delighted to confirm the signing of Declan Frith. The 19-year-old wide attacking midfielder joins Villa’s Academy having impressed on trial over recent weeks for the Under-23s in Premier League 2. Frith also scored a hat-trick for the Young Lions in the Birmingham Senior Cup first round last month. Academy manager Mark Harrison said: “Declan left Chelsea at the end of August and has been on trial with us for a couple of weeks, playing in games against West Bromwich Albion, Coventry Sphinx, Stoke City and Wolves. “Having performed well he has signed a professional contract. He is a wide attacking player who can play both sides. “We look forward to seeing how he develops.” Official Site
  15. I thought as he is 19, might deserve his own thread (courtesy of BOF who posted the signing in the youth thread originally). Seems he can play striker or LW. Is he highly rated? Imagine, we could feasibly have 4 players in the team who are brothers lol, Caleb Chuka, Carney Chuka, J.,Ramsey, A.Ramsey. ------- CALEB CHUKWUEMEKA MAKES PREMIER LEAGUE MOVE Academy product joins Aston Villa https://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2021/august/caleb_chukwuemeka/ Northampton Town striker Caleb Chukwuemeka has signed for Premier League side Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee. and a vid for you....
  16. John McGinn: Aston Villa keen to sign Hibernian midfielder BBC. Anyone know much about him?
  17. 17 year old attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey has penned his first professional contract, only says long term on the OS, doesn’t specify how long. He’s a very good footballer, gets a lot of goals from midfield, he’s got a chance
  18. Ex Fleetwood Town centre back that we signed from them last Summer, he has been excelling in our u18s and u23s. He’s 16 years old, a first year scholar, I’ve seen him a few times for our u23s and he just looks class, he’s very composed and good on the ball, he just breezes through matches at that level. I see very few flaws in his game from what I have seen so far, he could go right to the top. I’m interested in other poster’s views on him if they have seen him play, edit- I know I have bigged up young players on here in the past and been made to look stupid but I have a good feeling about this player, he just plays with such maturity for someone of his age
  19. Young Irish winger looks like he might make a debut today at Fulham. Those who've seen him play for the U23's will know he's direct, aggressive and has a bit about him. He's very young, but hopefully he gets on the pitch today and gives a good account of himself.
  20. Haven't seen a thread for him but just came on for his debut. Good luck to him. Honestly never heard of him before from youth posts
  21. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/12/aston-villa-poised-complete-15m-signing-douglas-luiz-manchester/?WT.mc_id=tmg_share_tw Another one out of the blue? A bit worried about that buyback clause though.
  22. Aston Villa is pleased to announce the signing of Tim Iroegbunam. The midfielder, 18, joins Villa's Academy from West Bromwich Albion, where he came through the ranks after joining their Under-8s. Iroegbunam has attended England age group training camps in the past and Academy manager Mark Harrison believes he has a bright future. Harrison said: “Tim is an athletic midfielder who is technically very good. “He has the ability to play as a holding midfielder or a box-to-box midfielder, who can contribute in both penalty areas. “Tim has a lot of potential and we look forward to seeing him develop over the next few years.” AVFC
  23. Very excited about this player, he's 15 and plays centre midfield, he made his debut for u18s last season at the age of 14. He made his u16 debut at 12. He made his England u16 debut at 14 and has played for England u17 this season, I think he is superb
  24. Very excited by this! John Percy usually on the money too
