Eric Lichaj

Clark used to be spelt Clarke.

Huh?

It was always Clark. I think a lot of people just misspell his name.

What's the Chicken Noodle Soup dance? Excuse my ignorance.

Must be my dodgy eyesight, it looked like Clark had an e on his shirt in that gif. I'm sure that happened once, or maybe I imagined it. I've no idea what the Chicken Noodle Soup dance is either.

Good luck to him. As others have said, he was a good backup player and he gave his all. What you want from a football player. Strange thing is that can`t be said about a lot of players.

not really as Eric was one of three right backs at the club..4 if you include Herd.

I will be interested to see if Cresswell comes.. does that make Bennett up for sale or a back up to Cresswell.

Lowton, Lichaj, herd and????

Will always be remembered for his Chicken Noodle Soup goal celebration vs. Hereford

right?

I will remember him for his pornstar moustache and that time he wore a onesie at training.

I am pretty angry that we are just letting him go. He is a good player. I am assuming that Lichaj said that he wanted to leave because we'd be foolish not to offer him a new deal. He is a quality back up that can play multiple positions.

Most likely, Lichaj probably wanted to leave to get some first team football. He's obviously not going to get ahead of Lowton any time soon and with one of the stipulations in the US squad being that you have to be regularly playing, it's in Lichaj's benefit to go somewhere where he can play first team even if it's in the Championship.

He's a good back-up, yes, but he's never going to make it into the WC if he only plays sparsely.

I agree with the decision.

Never let us down but I feel he is being slightly over-rated by some on here. He was solid defensively. I remember him marking Bale well once, in particular. However, I think he's limited. His miss against West Brom this season ultimately cost us two points.

I wish him well. He'll hopefully go to a Championship club. Ipswich could do far worse.

He's a good defender but due to his attacking limitations and the style that we play, he wasn't going to fit into the system.

I would have kept him as back-up but I guess, as other people have also mentioned, he wanted first team football.

I wish him all the best in his future career.

honest player - always gave his all, and can't remember many howlers, which is more than can be said for most of our youngsters... the few times i met him, he seemed a good lad...

i hear he wanted first team football in the build up to the world cup, and he was never going to be first choice in his preferred position at right back if lowton was fit.... also, not actually that young...

all the best wherever you end up!

The very definition of average. If we are to improve then we have to have better players. We have a massive squad which needs trimming down in numbers, Albrighton, Herd, El Ahmadi, Ireland can all go aswell

I agree completely, very average, I'd rather have someone young and striving from success, preferable from Germany, Netherlands or Belgium :P

Although if Bennet is somehow in our first 11 for next season then .............

A real shame how much his progress has dipped over the last 12/24 months.

Prior to this I had him as the jewel in the crown of the current crop of 'young uns'.  He seemed to have the lot.
