No idea why people are quoting & expecting 30-40 million again. Nobody other than Spurs were interested in the summer, he has played about 6 good games this season and been injured for weeks again now. He might want to go but there will not be many, if any takers.

Eh he has been our player of the season and will be takers.

We have done **** all since he got injured and our only promotion chance if he comes back soon

He’s our talisman, the player that makes us tick, our heartbeat, a genius with the ball at his feet, so much natural talent

Football is a team game, having Grealish wouldn't change anything yesterday.

All our players were turned off except McGinn.

Yes that's right. Replacing Glen Whelan with Jack Grealish would have no affect on our performance

SOS call to Jack, even if you can't run, we need you on the pitch.

The single most important thing is that he's not rushed back.if he's not 100% he shouldn't play.  Can't risk him aggravating it and being out for longer.

If 2/3 of your players ain't putting the effort in it wouldn't matter if we had Messi and Ronaldo up front.

If most of your players doesn't care you have no chance winning a game.

Football is a team game, if Grealish played we still would have lost that game, Wigan wanted it more than us, they had more heart.

Its as if the players know they need Jack on that pitch with them as much as we do. His calmness and ability on the ball seems to give everyone around him the confidence to do likewise. Passes, posession, chances, shots on goal were all stats thats looked very impressive when Smith started, and that has drastically plummeted since his injury. His influence is unquestionable. Im still cursing That Black Monday at West Brom.

Another reminder that some people actually wanted him dropped earlier this season.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He was playing pretty crap early in the season tbf, he only really started playing well again when Smith came in.

Also, while he's a big player for us and obviously a huge loss for our team, our recent performances aren't just down to not having Jack Grealish. We're not playing out from the back at all, not pressing as a team, not passing and moving, not finding triangles and passing areas, Jack isn't the only player required to do all of those things, the whole team needs to do it for it to work, and no one is atm

It's a good point and all very true.

But there is a reason why we have stopped pressing as a team, and there is a reason why the team looks so tired all of the time. When we have the ball we don't have anyone who can get their foot on it and hold it, play the passes that help to retain possesion, carry the ball forward; when you have players who can do this it gives the whole team a breather as the high pressing they have been doing is stopped. Instead we now spend most of the game without possesion, or when we do have it we completely waste it; it means that our players spend more time trying to play a high pressing game early on and then can't see it through for the entire game.

The problem is, as I have said before, we haven't changed our game plan since Grealish and Tuanzebe have been out and we now don't have a team capable of playing in the way we are trying to get them to play.

He's approaching Benteke levels of carrying Aston Villa.

Which is embarrassing at this level isn't it? How on earth can we expect promotion if it seemingly hinges on one player, to think that we can't get results against teams like Wigan without Grealish shows you how shit we really are.

The impact of Grealish being injured and Conor not playing in that defensive midfielder role shows we're giving the ball away more each game.

Not only that. Grealish compared to Hourihane in the AM spot is night and day too.

In respect of your point, that still doesn't make him a 40 million pound player.  If he did go for that amount then I  would be very pleasantly surprised!
