  1. Yeah lots in Trinity as well, literally showed up wearing Ajax shirts and singing their songs! Ballsy
  2. Did we register him for the PL and/or Europe in Jan? If not he can't play anyway so he's still a way off and if we did he might actually be nearly back!
  3. Spurs are just Leeds under Bielsa with better players, they'll continue to pick up injuries due to playing at 100mph and their players being shattered but be involved in some really good games as the style is exciting to watch if nothing else

    Matty Cash

Just popped on a spurs forum to see what they were saying about that awful Romero tackle in their game and the majority are full of praise for it. One person even said they love seeing Romero do those tackles and hope he targets Cash next to end his career. Not one person has pointed out that his tackle was a far worse one on a far more injury prone player than the one they want Cash hung drawn and quartered for

    Unai Emery

So we need another 10 pages by Saturday to keep the 10 VT pages per victory ratio intact, easy
  6. Does him being off the pitch still count as the last man? Harsh
  7. It's mad that there are people moaning about other people moaning that other people are moaning about a player that most are kind of nonplussed about
  8. Yeah he should have been booked for the initial challenge then booked again for the afters, but let's be honest we all know that's exactly where these new rules will fall apart and the guaranteed yellow for kicking the ball away or delaying a pk will be replaced with final warnings instead (especially if you play for a sky 6 team or Newcastle)
  9. I did that on my knee along with having meniscus repaired, after about 14-18 months I felt fine to play again properly and that lasted a few years but my knee gives me constant issues now. Admittedly I never had the kind of rehab that Mings will have and let's just say I'm not quite the physical specimen he is either, so potentially a year out for him The worst bit was it delays the start of any meaningful rehab for a month or 2, but after that the recovery is the same as just acl. So whatever the normal recovery time is + a couple of months probably
  10. Scanned today or scanned tomorrow doesn't really make any difference to the injury, regardless he'll be strapped up and all precautions taken until they know the full extent of it, can't normally get surgery until the swelling goes down anyway No chance, this isn't Bournemouth Vs Man Utd. No-one talked about how Newcastle had a few players out when we smashed them last season, it was all how good we were. From our point of view we were shell shocked by the Ming's injury and already missing 3 key players in Moreno, Buendia and Ramsey, from a neutral point of view it was a highly impressive and comprehensive victory against a well fancied team
  11. Tbf if we'd beaten them 5-1 and they kept talking about their player getting injured in the 1st half when we were already winning how would you feel about that? We're everyone's dark horses this year and Newcastle just pulled off a hugely impressive win, of course that's what they're talking about
  12. Honestly it's bad enough they're charging for pre season friendlies (when the club we're playing has it available for free) but to charge and provide worse quality that most illegal streaming sites is a joke
  13. Signed him on football manager, was the only player remotely close in goals to Haaland and ended up selling for £60m to Bayern and he's now linked with City for £200m. So based on that I've literally never heard of him and would be absolutely over the moon if we signed him
  14. Yeah I'm with you, I've seen a lot of pundits bigging us up for next season now and when people find out I'm a villa fan they've pretty much all said how good they think we'll be next season and what a top manager emery is. I think the casual fan expects us to be right up there next season
  15. It's because it's funny to see a big club fail. We (along with everyone else) laughed at Newcastle, everyone laughed at us, we'd all find it hilarious if spurs found themselves in the bottom 3 even if it was only 5 games into a season, it's just what happens. There's no real bad feeling when a small team goes down, a Leicester or Norwich or Bournemouth etc, if that teams had some success most people quite like that and will remember them fondly. If next season we're in the bottom 3 with Brighton they'll have loads of support and we'll have loads of memes and everyone reveling in it, even though they finished above us the season before
  16. Duh silly weedman of course it was! I'll edit that now
  17. I'd add the last minute winner v Watford the season we barely survived. They had full on new manager bounce and were in incredible form, had gone from rock bottom to 17th and above us in the weeks prior and took an early lead through Deeney and that last kick of the game, while huge for us would have been totally demoralising for them and they went on to get relegated while we survived on the last day
  18. One thing that's always forgotten about this game is that we should have had a stonewall penalty in the last seconds. I think it was Carew clear through on goal with the ball bouncing at chest height and the defender just reached around him and swatted the ball away. Winning that game would have been massive as not only would it put us clear but it would have justified MON playing the kids in Europe and given us huge momentum, instead we got a kick in the teeth, a load of bad feeling that we threw Europe away for nothing and a damp squib end of the season
  19. Isn't it funny that the people most offended by "snowflakes" and "cancel culture" are the quickest to get upset and offended when someone does something they don't like
  20. The holy trinity dude on YouTube keeps track of it
  21. Are we really arguing Buendia isn't good enough for us because he's not as good as prime Grealish and De Bruyne? One a £100m player and the other arguably the best player in world football?
  22. Came here to see if anyone had a gif of that filthy pass to Moreno in the first half, disappointed
  23. I don't think it's arrogance really, personally I'd love any form of European competition, it'd be a real sign of progress and with European specialist Emery a genuine chance of a trophy for the first time in forever, but I don't think it's right to label fans as arrogant for looking at what's happening to West Ham this season and thinking is it worth it? This time next season would we not rather be in Newcastle's position than theirs? Not in Europe but genuine CL contenders and everyone talking about them Thursday night European games do impact your league season, and I think a lot of people would prioritise the PL over the conference league as we'd be much more likely to succeed longer term by pushing up the table. If anything, it's more arrogant to assume we'd be able to compete in the conference league and progress in the PL at the same time than to favour one over the other
  24. Couldn't agree more, it's not my money, I don't care what he's paid, as far as I'm concerned he's at least as good as Digne (I'd say better but early days so far) so their salaries should be comparable and I'm confident he's on far far less than Digne, so it's a bargain even if he's on double that £35k
  25. PL teams have to pay more for players because every man and their agent knows how much money is in the PL and if you don't pay it, another PL team will because they're also loaded A bit like the English player tax in that you have to pay English players more because they're more in demand due to squad quotas
