No batsman could get any kind of score. Every ball looked dangerous, a wicket looked likely every over and usually was. 3 hours later and you've got a bowler out scoring the batting line up on his debut smashing sixes on his way towards a century and his often rash but always spectacular partner, our last batting hope looking unstoppable again. Magic stuff. Thing is with a clearer head Stokes could have been enjoying this with the older ball with the potential to build a lead.
