I agree totally, it's worth watching them both to see the contrast between the two sides and to get the real context of the films. As Choffer says, it increases the impact of Letters from Iwo Jima. I also saw Case 39 over the weekend but I wasn't overly impressed. It started out well but half way through it just got a bit weird and it could have been so much better. District 9 is a top film, and the first few minutes are just setting the scene for the rest of a very good and quite different take on the whole alien invasion genre. As an aside wrt to my previous recommendation, what did you think of Waltz with Bashir, Desi? Loved it Bri, thought provoking and stylistically gorgeous. I dont know mate, see the bar scene is truely brilliant and is up there imo with Tarantino's best scene's, but scene's of that ilk are few and far between in the film.
