The pathetic attitude towards refereeing and VAR

So the ref was spot on all game? Give over! He was poor, some very questionable calls!

Yes we was crap, but we played an anti footballing  team that came to shut us out. We will struggle against them teams.

We need an upgrade on Cash in Jan. Not the 1st time he has been caught ball watching. Also we need a plan to best teams that play low block. Couple of additions in Jan could fix that.

Thought there were some disrespectful comments about Sheffield United pre-match which don't look so clever now.

We weren't at our best today and it looked like it would be one of those days but we've managed to get a point which could be important.

Still not convinced VAR should have disallowed our goal and looked like we could have had a penalty too.

At least our unbeaten home run continues as does our cracking season. UTV!

We went to Forest and lost 2-0. We drew this game 1-1. The Don won't be happy with either. The subs absolutely ballsed us up. But we didn't lose tonight. You don't win anything now. And last season showed we snuck up on moving up the league. We'll go top and win the title when Don Unai says so.

Laughable performance from VAR and the ref. Should have had a pen and that disallowed goal was another phase of play.

Still one point from the top and the other two have to play each other. Confident we’ll be fighting for the title in May.

Heard that eternal optimist Bardell saying we don't need any more players - we absolutely do and tonight is why.

We struggle with creativity against low block teams, so a quick thinking midfield player like Christian Eriksen is what we need.

The progress has been phenomenal so far and we were missing some of our first teamers tonight, but we are clearly reaching a ceiling.

Shite. Horiffic reffing. But we shouldn’t need the ref to win.

Keeping Cash and Ramsey on for the duration is baffling

Cash kept getting in the way it seemed. He was just standing around waiting for someone to tell him what to do.

Not too sure why people are having a go at people's reactions in the match thread.

It's easy to explain - look at the league table!

People are going to get pissed off if we fail to beat the worst team in the division, at home.

OK some might go a bit OTT but come on, it's a match thread and everyone has different opinions.

If they didn't this would be an Olbiyun or Custard Bowl Nobbers site 😛

It’s fine to be disappointed, we weren’t good enough tonight and still got a point. The embarrassing bit is people saying our whole season is collapsing before our eyes

Bad days happen to all teams. We go again.

We lack movement against such sidesm we had so much of the ball but nobody moved for it. Nobody stretched that 3 at the back at all

Nothing to do with the ref or VAR. It pains me greatly to see VAR or a poor ref blamed for an under par performance by Villa.

Villa didn’t really create a clear cut chance until the goal in extra time. Poor all over the pitch with the exception of McGinn who faded in the second half.

I stated in the pre match thread that previously games such as these with high expectations on Villa tend to turn into a banana skin.

At least Villa didn’t lose and Man U won’t sit in like Sheffield did but Villa badly need more creativity in midfield in January if they are to grab a CL placement.
