Saudi club have “opened negotiations” for Digne now… 🤞

Making this more likely but… we may have insulted/offended Sevilla by our initial offer…

I wouldn't read too much into insults about offers, if they dip in with a little more then the player could be vocal about wanting to leave. They either keep paying the wages of an unhappy player or negotiate a fair deal.

🚨 Moves at Aston Villa could lead to a new offer for Marcos Acuna.

👉 Lucas Digne is now one step away from joining Al Hilal until 2026.

🗣️ Digne's departure would lead to a 15-20M offer being made for Marcos Acuña

That quoted fee seems quite steep. I was expecting no more than 10.

Don't think we should use that as a barometer

Just pointing out for that sort of money we're actually getting a player that's played at the top level and won the World Cup and the Europa League within the last 12 months. Whereas other teams have paid that for journeyman, mediocre players.

10m is plenty enough but I suppose shifting Dinge means saving 2.4m per year on wages assuming Acuna will be on half of Dinge’s wages

Is that €15-20m or £15-20m? It makes a decent difference and that's assuming that it's accurate.

Plus just Acuna fitting into how we want to play better than Digne is a value itself that can't quite be put into monetary terms.

It could easily essentially end up being trading Digne for Acuna + a bit of FPP wiggle room. That'd be an excellent deal.
