Have we also given him the power to circumnavigate FFP?

He’s got a masters in financial accounting, little wonder Barca got him in.

According to AS (spanish media), they are saying that Villa want a heavyweight guy in transfer negotiations and Alemany fits the bill.

Would seem that the Antonio Cordon rumour was actually him being set up to replace Alemany at Barcelona.

If he starts work on July 1st will we work on existing targets with Lange or just the owners/Purslow or will he feed some through for completion once he turns up start of July?

Guess we'll now be in that cartel of clubs that will help Barca evade FFP restrictions by taking some of their squad players on loan/buy for inflated fees. They can have Coutinho back for 40m as compensation.

Shoestring budget😂😂😂😂

Ok, maybe I was exaggerating (a lot) in the heat of the moment. But it makes him sound better so let's pretend that it's true 😂

A better choice of phrasing would have probably been "difficult financial restraints".

I hope he wasn't involved in the Coutinho, Dembele and Griezmann transfers.

Those were some of the best and most highly rated players ( And young player ) in the world at a particular time before they signed.... So why?

Not many people could have seen those players not being successes.

He had no involvement in them transfers but all 3 had red flag warnings before signing

They cost 350 million + between them and none ever fitted Barcelona way before signing

It'd be good to have a real breakdown of what he's done, as I know nothing about him. Don't like 58m euros on Raphinha tbh.

Raphinha probably could have gone to any club at the time for that price or more
