We only really need one to fulfil their promise and we buy them back and the whole idea has been a success, worst case we've got decentish money for all 3. Our academy has steadily produced min Championship standard players for a long time now, even if the new investment and the new facilities only yileds a small improvement we'll be constantly churning out very valuable assets even if they don't make our first team.

Have kept Martinez, Douglas Luiz, etc. as well. Very happy. We have undoubtedly improved. And how many times over the years have we said just pleeeease sign a handful of quality players and not just tons of meh. Finally we’ve done it Edited September 1, 2023 by Spoony

West Ham have had a good one, but have lost their best player from last season and are still stuck with Gollum’s dad at the helm. Doing quite well atm despite that and your Gollum has just won a European competition which Villa are now in.

KevinRichardsonsMoustache
Feels like a real turning point for the club: various legacy players (Wes, Nakamba, Davis) gone; new policy of selling youth prospects with buyback clauses; bringing in a higher calibre of player who has European experience. No panic buying; no square pegs in round holes; we all know what Unai and Monchi wanted. We all quickly understood the rules and what was being done. We’ve even managed to respond to injuries to Mings and Buendia; while keeping a relatively tight-knit sort of squad together. Will we have enough? Were we in for others? I don’t know, but it feels like a sea change in how we go about business. Edited September 1, 2023 by KevinRichardsonsMoustache
JAMAICAN-VILLAN
Re concerns about a Left Sided Attacker. Yeah... One now may have been cherry on top. But again, JJ is coming back, and if Cash can successfully play as a right winger in Emery system, it means Moreno can eat the Left Wing role for breakfast if needed. I think we'll be fine. Jas10
Once we settle and calm down and move on from this final day… I think the vast majority of us will realise and acknowledge that this is the best window we’ve had since transfer windows existed in the PL (nice save for me there )… I thought the window when we signed big Emi and co (Watkins, Cash, Berty…) was excellent but this is way, way better… The level of players we are targeting and attracting now is something else… as well as the ones we have who are playing out of their skins now… such as McGinn. We have a hell of a lot to look forward to…
