alreadyexists Posted October 25, 2022 VT Supporter Posted October 25, 2022 Quote Emery to be joined by 23-year-old coach at Aston Villa – Staff member follows him from Villarreal That’s according to La Voz de Galicia, who say the Spanish manager will be adding the Villarreal coach to his team at Aston Villa. Emery was confirmed as Steven Gerrard’s replacement yesterday, with the Villans moving quickly to pay his release clause to get him out of Villarreal. La Voz follow that up today and say he ‘takes Arias with him’ having decided to keep him as part of his coaching staff in Birmingham. Sport Witness Apparently we’re getting Jaime Arias too, looks like he was a youth coach before I think so not clear if he’s coming in that capacity or as an assistant or other coach… we shall see 3
gwi1890 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Ashley Young is nearly old enough to be his Dad. In all seriousness though exciting news.

That man has been useless for us twice. How he found his way back to us under Gerrard is another (one of many) black mark against Gerrard's name. 4

The Fun Factory Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 You can tell you are getting old when assistant managers look young to you. They should be salty old defenders who wear shorts when its 2 degrees with sleet. Like Pat Rice or Mike Phelan.
