Yes,thats why I am going to the Leeds Vs Crystal Palace game as well. The only team I didnt go to watch was Chelski ( a few seasons ago ) I wouldent cross the road to watch Chelski,Everton.Glasgow Rangers or SHA. They can't even afford the bus fare to Dudley. 1
TomC
What formation did we play each half? From the starting XI, it looks like 4-3-3 first half? Also, does anyone know why Bert wasn't in the squad? Did he even travel to Oz?

We won 1-0.A penalty in the first half.IMHO,if it wasent for the Leeds keeper we would have scored a couple more. The ref could/should have given us more free kicks,he is probably a Leeds supporter,or a very bad ref. stewiek2
Just watched the highlights. Not much in that McGinn challenge. Both went in 50-50.
danceoftheshamen
Some lovely stories emerging from the tour in Australia. Anyone got any info on how many Villa fans were in the 40,000 crowd? Just out of curiosity. It looked quite a lot? Any nice stories or pics / vids? It is amazing to see the global reach the club has when it pulls the plugs out. The_Steve
Why do refs never enforce the rules about keepers coming off of their line before the kick?

Popular Post theboyangel
Leeds fans are the most sanctimonious bunch of clearing in the woods... Tw@tter has been inundated with multiple posts about being hard done by today and THAT tackle, without any sniff of restrospect or acknowledgement of their own players actions on the pitch. I really dislike the club - they're the yorkshire equivalent of small heath alliance. Detestable and insignificant

Detestable and insignificant historically i never care about the results of friendlies but the leeds tears do make this one sweet. they have gone into absolute meltdown over this game
ciggiesnbeer
Leeds are a team that reek of relegation. Sold their two best players, lost a good manager and replaced him with a grinning imbecile. Oh they were playing their two new signings. Did you notice? me either. Hope they get into the relegation zone and stay there. Edited July 17, 2022 by ciggiesnbeer

Yep. I spotted a few Chelski, Liverpool, England, and Argentina tops there. Those who love football here will take the chance to see a decent side play Leeds.
Popular Post NoCoder
Attended this game yesterday in my home town of Brisbane and it's a massive dream to see them out here!! had a whole weekens of it - Saturday morning they had a pop up event at a random shopping centre nowhere near where the game was (????), but I went out and Elmo and Peter Withe where both there. Fantastic time chatting to them and getting some pics and autographs. Very poor advertising of it by the club IMO, as hardly anyone knew it was on. I attended and only found out when I got there that the Ex players would be there. No merch there either?? Saturday night we had a great fan night at a pub..hundreds of us there and lots on singing and chats all night. Bloody brilliant time had!!! Peter Withe was there and Ashley Preece also. Sunday GAMEDAY!! Perfect Brisbane winter weather for the day. A few pubs in the stadium district hosted the Villa fans and a great time was had pre-game by all and then it was off to the game. So fantastic to see so many Villa Kits walking around the home city.....it's a massive thing to see when it's so far from the home ground. Brilliant time seeing all the boys on the pitch and to be honest, it didn't matter to me what happended, I was just excited to see them in Australia! Great to get the win and was very excited to see Diego and Kamara out there. A weekend I will never forget!!!
