Mings seems like a great organiser the way he barks instructions but I don’t know how popular he actually is with other players. Remember the El Ghazi incident and I’m sure there have been others. He actually tends to perform best after he's made a mistake. Carlos still has a lot to prove therefore I still have Mings down as our best defender. I'm not saying he's going to get us into Europe - he may not even get us into the top half! - but he's a damn sight better than Konsa and has a number of characteristics that make him more valuable to the side than perhaps Chambers. Taking the captaincy off Mings was perhaps understandable (at best), but to not even make him 'vice' or whatever other bollocks they gave out, drop him and then give it to McGinn is insanity. Pure madness. Back on to the transfer window. We won't improve until we sign two central midfielders who are better than McGinn and Ramsey (I still rate the latter). So yeh, sign them. I feel the same about McGinn whereas I don’t feel that about Digne for example. I wouldn’t have brought Carlos for the same reason, and I was VERY on the fence over Coutinho.
