Coach steps up when manager sacked and makes a load of changes. Was he telling Stevie to do these things and was ignored? If you want to do careful, specific systems like Gerrard did...you have to be an elite coach who can get it across to the players. It's difficult, you can't just draw it on a blackboard. Very often, less is more in a dynamic game like football. Big black mark against Gerrard and his managerial credentials today.
