Sorry, this is to go on the front of our shirts next season?

Possibly. The club can neither confirm or deny it because it would break the contract with our current sponsor.  But the speculation is that it is our sponsor for next season because they are paying double what non betting firms pay clubs like Villa.

Sleeves - fine, advertising boards or wherever else, whatever, do what we got to do. But to have it on the front of the shirts as our main sponsor, would be nothing short of a disgrace.

Why? Most non Sky 6 clubs have betting sponsors on their shirts at some point.  Villa had it on the front of their shirt with W88 not that long ago.

I'm a fan, I'm glad he's put the financial importance of the club first. I bet often of horse racing and some other sports. I haven't a clue why people have issues with betting firms. My issue is with the lack of regulation of betting firms, which is down to the Government.

same but apparently this isn't any old betting firm. they have various dodgy links etc that i've not bothered to read up on because i don't really care

but ultimately if newcastle have taught us anything, it's that if you want success you need to turn a blind eye somewhat with regards to where the money your club is coming from.

people can't moan at not signing players then complain that we've allowed a dodgy betting firm to sponsor us cause they pay us more than cazoo

I’m not going to be happy until I get a tire, electrical goods (popular brand) or an international airline on the front of our shirts.
Ive never heard of BK8 - do they even properly exist? Has anybody ever met someone from there?

Woke Villa fans are giving this company a lot of slack for an old advert that was shown in Asia (different cultures and all)
If LYNX, Yorkie Bar, Cadburys or Pepsi was sponsoring us they wouldn't say anything even tho they've done the same stuff in the past.

I mean I hate tacky gambling sponsorships and wish we’d kept our mouth shut at previous fCG meetings ref no more gambling sponsors…. But the (faux ) outrage to the stark reality no blue chip / financial companies will wanna be anywhere near us essentially is rather odd to me.

That said, gambling ruins lives and rips families  to shreds so from I can understand if you lived with it why you would be. It’s a moral grey area for me personally….

What I've heard is that they used scantily clad women in their advertising. Which to be honest I couldn't give a **** about. It's a betting firm either way it's morally bankrupt. And if it was just a regular company doing it, well I wouldn't care either. Because sex sells and most ads are attractive women showing off more flesh than they normally would.

Our 2021 revenue was 186m.

Chelsea's was 437m.  277 of that from TV rights.

We have a long way to go, and sponsorship deals will only cover a fraction of what we need.

Europe's a must. Selling multiple 20yr olds for 30m is another.

It’ll just be one of those where everyone throws a fit when first officially announced and then about a couple weeks later it will all be forgotten.

Honestly, I don’t care who sponsors the club as long as they give us lots and lots of money. Football is long gone of being morally correct.

We were on a roll then, they were our 3rd betting/casino sponsor in a row: Unibet, 32Red, W88. We broke the cycle only to go back now.

I'm disappointed (if true).  With two impressive and well connected businessmen as owners of the club, surely we can do better than this?  This club has aspirations to get back to the top of football and to me that includes who it partners with.  I can accept the viewpoints that this might be the best commercial decision but imo, one decision leads to another, and I'd prefer a 'better' group of partners than a trashy Chinese firm that no UK based fan affiliates with.
