Popular Post useless
Not sure why the idea of Dendocker doing well at Championship level is being used to talk down Iroegbunam, Dendoncker was a regular in a Wolves team that have more than once finished higher than we have in more than ten years and were also in Europe, and is also a regular for Belgium. Also for anyone that's watched Iroegbunam play a number of times, they would know he's completely different player to Dendocker anyway, and to Nakamba for that matter as well, they're purely defensive minded midfielders, whereas Iroegbunam is a box-to-box midfielder, something that people don't seem to realize, I don't think I've ever seen him play in a side where he's been the main defensive midfielder, at West Brom, us, and QPR, he's always played alongside a more traditional DM. In our first team would more likely be back-up for Luiz, Ramsey, and McGinn, than Kamara; if Iroegbunam was part of first team squad we would still need another specialist DM as back-up to Kamara. Also no offence to him, but Iroegbunam doing as well as he's done at Championship level in his first season at senior level as nineteen year old is way more impressive than Nakamba doing well at Luton, and again they're different types of players, Nakamba is getting praise purely for his defensive displays, whereas Iroegbunam has had more of an attacking role, so the comparison doesn't even make sense. 8

I know it’s part of being our academy but he’s an on/off starter for a poor QPR team and expecting him to play against Europe or even bottom prem teams in a crucial double pivot is a bit much. He's QPR's most important player and has started every game he's been able to. He's injured at present. If he isn't around the squad next season, he will be off.

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
They had 13% possession at one stage when I checked, a complete backs against the wall performance.

VillaChris
We'll give him a chance in August. Up to him what he does with that chance but he'll get a good loan next season regardless.

People are not trying to talk down the kid but realistically he would be looking at taking Dendoncker’s role in our squad and would we be willing to replace a full Belgium international with a part time QPR player? No, that would be a pretty crazy move. The other option is to have him sit on our bench all season and only see occasional minutes but that would be a waste of his development. It makes sense to find him another good loan and see how he is as a 20 year old.

He's only not played recently due to injuries, he's started almost every week before injuries and at times has looked head and shoulders above all their other players in that squad. My missus is a QPR fan, so like it or not I see a lot of their mostly terrible matches, but it means I've got to watch a lot of Tim's football and I've been very impressed, he is certainly no worse than Dendoncker is currently and I am not anti big Donck either, just saying Tim has is actually more mobile - he is a box to box midfielder, whereas Leon is more holding/defensive midfielder. They are not like for like. He is 19 years old, I would say he could do another year's loan somewhere, but if we recall him, and we get a few cup runs (and maybe Europe) he can definitely do a job for us. 8
Popular Post Pez1974
Are a few seriously writing this guy off? He is young, he is learning, and he is doing OK. His side are struggling, and have had a change of manager and a total change of style. Norwich fans thought AJ was useless for the first half of the season - Boro think he's the second coming. At such young ages, these players sometimes just 'kick in' - its the experience they need. Anyone need reminding of that photo of Harry Kane sitting on the Leicester bench when he was 20, in the Championship. Scoring 2 in 13 games. And sitting next to a 26 year old Jamie Vardy, who got about 1 goal during this period.

Philosopher
I think people need to remember how he did, when he had a manager that had Qpr playing football. He was doing well. He isn't a sitter, and i see more of Dougie's backup.

But he also has that huge physicality to sit and break up play. Running from deep and breaking the lines from time to time would be his perfect role i guess. Basically he is the personification of that old adage ... he can be whatever he wants to be....
KMitch
I think many need to temper their expectations with this kid... Seeing lots of suggestions from some here who seem to think he's going to be in our squad next season... QPR fans beg to differ. Looks like another Championship loan is needed. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/forum/297255/iroegbaenum--decent-prospect/#

But he has been in a team who had the worst run in the championship. 2 wins in 6 months or something crazy like that.he has had 3 managers already this season as well. Still a young kid with huge potential. Get him a loan like a Boro if they dont get promoted and watch him fly.
