VillaChris Posted May 13 Share Posted May 13 The issue here is Tim first played for us over two years ago. He's since played 40 games in the championship. It doesn't really make sense to me to then warm the bench for two years as you're just wasting your career and he isn't 18 anymore. He's hardly played in a period with Donk gone, Kamara out and all of McGinn, Luiz and Tielemans missing out at separate points for 2-3 games so there's been plenty of opportunities but he's been constantly overlooked. We won't be starting next season this understocked in central midfield as that would be complete madness so will have even less chance of breaking through. Don't want him to turn into one of these players we're still taking about with potential at 22-23 and he's a year off that so needs to be playing next season. East London Villa Posted May 19 Share Posted May 19 I think he'll go on loan again this summer rather than sold. His value isn't as high as say when he was playing very well for QPR. A strong year in the Championship and we could get a lot more for him. All in all, Emery has given him a few opportunities but he's proven that he's still too much like a youth player at this level than a full first teamer.
