I just want us to not concede a stupid goal in the first half an hour and then be playing catch up. Signs that Gusto won't be back, so our left side v their right side could be a real mismatch

I always find myself going back to Peep Show, the Alan Partridge Compendium from KMKYWAP to TTWAP, Curb, Father Ted, Spaced and Thick of It. I'm ready for Darkplace again. Not sure if it counts as a sitcom as such, but Day Today. The Let Down is also fantastic, if a slightly traumatic watch at times this close to having children.

Proves the point that there is a Partridge quote for pretty much every eventuality. And if all else is lost, then

I'd prefer claret lion on blue, but given I've never really liked gold lion on claret, this is actually very nice, great border

Olise has Salah replacement written all over him. Agree with others that we should be aiming for better value.

I like bottom right. Slightly crazy to have no writing, but it's just so clean and unfussy, and my preferred colours

Deserves a biopic really doesn't he? Quite the story of redemption

This is for off topic isn't it? Oh, hang on, I see what it's about now... The other teams were tactically quite different. While I think you could probably put Watkins and Yorke more or less on a level (if Watkins keeps going, he may surpass Yorke for me), I don't think Yorke would work as a line forward in the same way. Likewise, Bailey gives us what we need now, Young have us exactly what we needed then. I don't think Young would work as well in this team, and I'm not sure Bailey would have been as effective in Young's team

Hard to believe he's still only 17

Not totally dissimilar to Pires at Arsenal then

He somehow looks so much physically stronger too, and has real presence. Makes him look bigger than he is somehow

Or - and we will have more games and potentially bigger European ones - he becomes part of a very useful set of rotation options.

A Ramsey-Buendia hybrid? We do need squad depth and I'm looking forward to players coming back from injury, but there is going to be a big fight for places when the other two are fit. Think this almost certainly means we won't keep Zaniolo though.

I was fairly sure that the Colossus of Rhodes was pretty Greek, so I looked it up, and the Latin word Colossus comes from the Greek Kolossos apparently, meaning larger than life, or gigantic statue, so carry on.
