Perhaps that they knew it would never happen but that it would give them leverage to ram through all the other things they want.

Sanctions need to imposed on the greedy six. Perhaps a 10 year transfer ban would be a start. They all have enough players on loan throughout Europe in their late teens early twenties to suffice as well as the pick of up and coming youngsters around the world, that should be enough surely, they thought they were good enough when they hoovered them up in the first place so let them get on with it.

This will be a major blow to the two big Spanish clubs and Juventus, all in huge debt and they were probably banking on the ESL to help ease the debts, they have seen the clubs in the Premier League get huge amounts from Sky and have overspent to try and stay ahead.

Whoa! That's huge if true.

Massive ramifications, if they pull out Liverpool FC will not be able to know what the time it is in America , Russia and other foreign places like France

And Klopp can't point at his wrist when they're losing 1-0 in 96th minute as he'll think he's still got 40 minutes to go.

Any coincidence the first to cave and withdraw are the 2 English sides still involved in the Champions League?

I imagine UEFA would have stuck to their guns and they’d have been thrown out if they’d tried to maintain their position in the Super League.

Yep if you try to kill someone but fail you still go to jail for attempted murder.

These 12 clubs cannot be allowed off the hook.

12 points deduction in their league next year and a ban from Europe I think is fair punishment.

Spurs in the poo too. This might make Levy sell.

More likely that the owners of Man City and Chelsea are not as desperate for the money as the other English Clubs.
