Popular Post rodders0223 Posted April 28, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted April 28, 2022 I know we all like to have some banter about Craig Gardner, but honestly, put all rivalry, bias and history to one side it's staggering he has such a position at a club relatively high in the football league. I keep thinking about it. Dodgy owners buy clubs all the time, rubbish owners are ten a penny - there are always nefarious reasons why a range of characters buy football clubs and often it's beneficial to them - but to actively employ someone so out of their depth and lacking in capability is the real criminal act here. He would struggle to do that job at a club in the 8th tier of football. He legitimately does not have the intelligence or managerial skills to run any department. It's phenomenal. A man who can barely string a coherent sentence together. Technical Director. Reporting to the board, Gardner will oversee the direction of the Club's football strategy, focusing on recruitment, squad development and performance. That to me sounds like one of , if not nowadays the most crucial part of a football club, especially one without unlimited funds and parachute payments. They've given that job to a man with absolutely no experience and furthermore someone, from the outside, looks to be severely lacking in the intelligence stakes. This season they should have gone down, no mistake about it, thanks to the shambles elsewhere they've survived. I want them to stay in a state of misery forever. Because, suppose they do actually properly go under, what will happen to their fans? I know they’ve not got many to worry about. Will they give up on football (already happened) to focus on better inter-family ‘relations’? Or will they change team? Some would go and support Solihull Moors, sure. Some might start glory hunting the scum six. Some might go to the albion or Coventry where they can wank each other silly to a chorus of SOTV…. But some might try and infiltrate Villa, and we really don’t want that. There is always the slim chance that a competent owner could take them over, so I’d prefer if they just disappeared.
