I was supposed to be going to my Mum and Dad's after picking my little girl up at 1pm. Have been feeling unwell for a few days (asthmatic and have been short of breath when I move about), so decided that I wasn't going to risk anything and got a covid test.......knowing that there were 4 outcomes (positive, negative, inconclusive or no response in time) and 3 of them would see me on my own for the big day. Anyhow, 3 days later (supposed to get the result next day) and no result so I've been at home on my own and watched my little one open her presents via Whatsapp. They did pop me around some dinner, but I am gutted. She is 7 next month and this is one of the last years it will be so special and exciting for her. Heartbroken and that is without the heap of trouble I am going to be in if I have covid. Edit: Sorry, this isn’t supposed to be a post chasing sympathy. It is as it is! Hope you are all having a great day and an even better one tomorrow. Has she not noticed there has been a pandemic and no word removed uses proper money any more? Overall it was unsurprisingly a very low-key Christmas but we did our best.
