Then of course the replay at Highbury where I saw Sir Brian score a hat trick against what were the media darlings at the time complete with Stan Bowles their star player.... that song we sang that night....about Stan Bowles wife alleged affair at the time.... "Where's your wife gone?, where's you wife gone?, where's your wife gone Stanley Bowles? With the milkman, with the milkman, with the milkman Stanley Bowles" A classic!! I was in the Holte End only 11 years old and had my arm broke by getting crushed against the standing rails when Burridge saved the penalty and the crowd went mental, was so happy and buzzing I didn't even know till me nan suggested going hospital at about 2.00am when my excitement was dying down and started crying about me arm. Happy days.

Newry_Villan
A good cup run and still in with a shout of staying up. It HAS been a decent season. Maybe rest one or two for this one but not wholesale changes
Popular Post TheAuthority Posted January 26, 2020 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted January 26, 2020 I'd actually forgotten that you get in to the Europa League through the Caraboa (whatever that is) Cup. Blimey, that would be huge for us as a club especially for recruitment and imagine European football back at VP! 5

Popular Post wedge
Had a brief look at some of their forums, the majority of them reckon all they've got to do is turn up and they're going to Wembley. One clearing in the woods even called us 'no marks', how I laughed, its amazing isn't it, they've won a grand total of two top flight titles and three League Cups, are the third biggest club in the East Midlands...'no marks'...pfft! Let's prove these happy clappy, plastic bunch of idiots wrong Villa and send them back clappers and tails/free scarves/hats/socks between their legs!

Unfortunately not. Quote Winners also qualify for European football, receiving a place in the UEFA Europa League; should the winner also qualify for Europe through other means at the end of the season, this place is transferred to the highest-placed Premier League team not already qualified for European competition. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EFL_Cup
Farlz
It's bad to say but I'm struggling to get myself proper excited for this. If we win great, what a night at Villa Park but then all I can think about is City wiping the floor with us at Wembley and we get embarrassed yet again in a cup final which is just something I don't want to see. Nigel Posted January 27, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted January 27, 2020 (edited) I wouldn't be surprised to see a few rested for the weekend game. Smith has already hinted about nyland, I think we could see elmo and connor too. Edited January 27, 2020 by Nigel

It's Your Round
Let’s hope it’s the 1st leg Nyland rather than the Man City game Nyland.
villalad21
There's no reason to not play your best keeper in a semi final. It's not like Reina/keepers in general will get fatigued
Delphinho123
Is Reina in some way ineligible?? I can't understand why we wouldn't play our strongest team here. Reina has been superb.

Fox1884 Posted January 27, 2020 Visiting Supporter Share Posted January 27, 2020 Vardy will be included in the squad for tomorrow night, no confirmation as to whether starting or on the bench Expecting him to be on the bench with Iheanacho starting, and coming on around 60-70 mins if needed
